I know what you mean and I agree some mids like Dow struggle when they don’t get the pill but I reckon Smith (massive accumulator mid) might not have that issue

Cotters to me is your defensive half forward, he can run all day and stop the opposition attacking half back and think that role is either Fogarty or cottrell

but the role for Smith could be the high half forward who gets up to any contest around the ground as an extra mid and plays as a connector to our forwards - his 30-40m kicks (to leading forwards) or 15-20m kicks to released wings would be better than our current 40-50 blind hacks

Also pretty clear from that article that we weren't looking to trade 3 down for two picks.

I have never been referring to a straight pick split, and North's next pick was in the 60s. Nothing really more to say on the topic other than there was a scenario in which Lalor could have been available at 3.

We entered the draft with picks 3, 38, 63, 68, 69 and 71. We ended up with Jagga, HO'F and the Kray Brothers.

We know we pick Jagga and HO'F with our first two picks, but does that mean we effectively picked up Ben with pick 63 and Lucas with pick 68? Cos if so, that's highway robbery.....
