Hugo had a delayed preseason but has hit the ground running since joining in full training..a very impressive prospect!Seems like from reports that Hugo is ahead of him. Sometimes happens when players stall for a year with injury. New blood comes in and everyone gets excited.
I’d be surprised if Dow isn’t in but he’s still a couple of weeks away from full training.Very similar to mine atm, but I have Stocker over Dow and Windhager into the middle. Though at the same time, I don't like the thought of omitting Dow. It's a good problem to have
I’d have Stocker ahead of Ross because he can play in the back line, both offensively and defensively, and pinch hit in the middle if required.Very similar to mine atm, but I have Stocker over Dow and Windhager into the middle. I would be too but I just don't know how to fit him in. It's literally Dow vs Stocker for me and I've got the one with runs on the board + leadership + flexibility + toughness (point of difference) in for nowI’d be surprised if Dow isn’t in but he’s still a couple of weeks away from full training.
I don’t have Stocker in but may get in due to his very good preseason training form.
Ross being a lock wouldn't surprise me. He's the two-way running sweeper mid that would allow the likes of Steele and Crouch to ball hunt. Without him, it'd probably be someone like Sinclair who is so good at balancing defence with attack but it seems like the coaches like having the flexibility to switch Sincs between defense and midfield.I’d have Stocker ahead of Ross because he can play in the back line, both offensively and defensively, and pinch hit in the middle if required.
The various ITKs seem to think Ross is a lock to play though.
If Clark misses any time you’d have to think Stock would be his replacement if that’s the team.
Both have their shortcomings but one’s a genuine mid that can win clearances, the other a tough, aggressive defender…mid wins but there’s a fair chance both will be in the 23.I would be too but I just don't know how to fit him in. According to the other thread, Arie hasn't done one training session with Sandy. Should be interesting to see what happens with him. Will be the best of the lot Arie.
Can’t wait until he barrels over Harley Reid and whispers how he played hide the pickle with his Mrs
For the Bigfooty uneducated (this is a joke post)
No doubt the club will update his prognosis on the website injury list next weekThat really comes across as impending doom.
No clue.According to the other thread, Arie hasn't done one training session with Sandy. Should be interesting to see what happens with him.
Byrnes was a player they were talking up at the start of pre-season. I reckon he might be a smokie for round one. If he's playing twos and has improved a lot then that's a good sign for us.B: Wilkie - Howard - Webster
HB: Sinclair - Battle - Wang.-Mil.
C: Hill - Dow - Henry
HF: Phillipou - King - Windhager
F: Higgins - Membrey - Owens
Foll: Marshall - Crouch - Steele
Int: Ross Clark Wood Sharman
Sub: Collard/Wilson
Something like that?
Tough working it out, NGL… there’s no Jones and Stocker in the above, for example.
And no genuine relief ruck, or extra KPP.
Byrnes has reached his peak I reckon and most likely may only be a fringe player for the remainder of this career.Byrnes was a player they were talking up at the start of pre-season. Tend to agree. After all, most players hit their peak at 22 years young…Byrnes has reached his peak I reckon and most likely may only be a fringe player for the remainder of this career.
