If you set out with a GF win as the minimum in an 18-team competition, you are going to be disappointed most of your life.

I will be happy with top 4 finish again. From that point you have a big chance of getting into the GF.
From their it is 50/50.

It could be worse you could have been born into a Dockers/Suns/Giants AFL mad family.
Yeah sorry I'm not into crumbs it's the whole cake or nothing.

Can you try not to be such a troll in 2024 please?

I think that's his only function on his forum. It's widely acknowledged he is a troll account - likely an alt of an existing poster.

Any news on Bez's shoulders? Are they forever stuffed or is there a chance he might play more inside this season? Dunks having a bit more freedom to push forward at times would be great for our midfield IMO.

I reckon he'll be up for inside mid minutes in 2024.

Any news on ah chee or Tunstill? Could go up another level.
Personally, i don't see Ah Chee going up another level.
He has been very consistent throughout his career.
Give Ah Chee a job to do and he gets it done most of the time.
He is 26 now and it is possible he gets better but i just don't see a marked improvement from him.

Hard to tell with Tunstill as he has not had much opportunity at AFL level.
They tried him wing in the preseason and round 1 when he looked a little out of place and was subbed off.
Back as a sub round 20 (had 20%TOG) and was named emergency in the GF.
That suggests he may be pushing for a midfield spot early in 2024.
He would have to go up another level to get and hold a midfield spot. Hopefully he can & does.
The more good options we have the better.

Good assessment.

I think ah Chee's "value" to the team/squad is his flexibility. During a game he can be swung forward, wing, or back to fill a gap and will do a good job, he is our Mr Fixit and teams need a player like that.

Jimmy does seem to be highly regarded by the club, he is knocking on the door for sure, he really has to force the door open this year although i cant see his spot just yet. Next year, and indeed later this season, he will probably have more opposition.

Man I hope his shoulders come good. The more he does play inside the better for us. Better for him too. Failing that, I think we will see Dev play longer minutes inside allowing Dunkley the freedom you talk about. I think we need a bit more mongrel and grunt in the middle. Dunkley, Berry, Dev and Rayner at times provide that. Tunstill could also and so too Lyons if he puts in a big year. Although I think both will be relying on injuries to get a consistent run. Neale, Clugg, Ashcroft, Bailey, Zorko at a pinch, all provide a counter to that inside hardness of the other guys. Fletcher is an interesting proposition, he looks pretty good on the outside but I reckon he has enough about him to be handy inside as well. Not sure where young Torrent will fit in those groups, is he defensive or attacking minded? Finding the right mix thru a game is the key.

Not hard to put someone on the ignore list

Agree. It's a good thing to do for some selected posters on here.
I have never put anyone on ignore ... I have come extremely close a few times but just before I have reached the point of losing tolerance for scrolling past their shtick (normally repetative beatings of dead horses resurrected twice, killed three times, still dead but currently wearing out their fouth deluxe horse-beating rod) they recover and return to their normal posting. Or leave.
