Our backline is supremely better compared to our last run in: Saad and Gov replacing Young and Williams is significant.

Williams up forward is also a big point of difference, and Fog’s forward half pressure for us is irreplaceable.

Also add in the bonus of Cincotta wearing his direct opponent like a glove.

cats at full strength after a week off - you just don’t know what game they’ll bring.

Either way, despite having a few key players out, we are going win with a much better line up than our last encounter.

I'm not worried about Dangerfield in the slightest.

You don't miss the number of games he has, at his age, and still come back and dominate.
Hope Fog nails him in a tackle!

I reckon Walsh is worse , watched him on the couch and he didn’t even answer the questions and looked so nervous , made me nervous…I understand why he is reluctant to go on podcasts and tv
Not everyone craves the media spotlight.

Likely to be an unchanged team
I'm more than ok with that. We've had a four game stretch now with a lot of continuity. The coaches would have been killing to have that for years. While we have players to come in that would be better than those who they would replace, there's no rush given the roles and systems we are playing.

Bring on this Friday - I'm so pumped.

Seems a little strange we play Geelong twice before we have yet to play a few others but that seems to be how the fixture is put together these days.

I didnt get to see the first game as i was aboard the Royal Princess in transit to Japan, however i did see some scores and i think we were 2.8 at one stage in the first quarter. Hopefully we will see a more accurate start on Friday night.

Not too worried about Dangerfield and Hawkins back in Geelong's side as i think we have them covered. I expect it will be a closely contested game and the Blues to be 16 points up at the final siren.

Go Blues.:thumbsu:

Imo don’t send cinc to anyone for starters, back ourselves in and go head to head as where good enough. Let cinc play a more attacking midfield roll initially and if one of there’s starts getting off the chain, then send him to shut that player out.

The fashion now appears to back yourself in with a tagger

Looking at our recent patterns (e.g. against Port), I wonder if we'll try to send Kennedy to Stewart. Not sure that'll work - Kennedy seems to struggle to attract the football in our F50, irrespective of whether he makes good position or not, just doesn't get used.

Don't mind an unchanged side, but Carroll would want to be absolutely 100% fit. He isn't yet good enough otherwise, and I think I'd be swapping him for Motlop at this point regardless.

It’s not about the opposition anymore for us.

We bring our best and stick to our identity, we can beat anyone

I personally think it is about us AND the opposition. Tagging Butters was about the opposition. A very important step in us restraining Port's current talisman.

It's high time we did this as it happens to Cripps ALL the time. They dont assign a tagger but they assign one of their midfield names as a negater for that specific match.

For Geelong that have Miers, Stewart and Cameron. We cant stop Cameron.
