Time in possession, last 10 minutes.
Them 9%, Us 36%

But… umpiring. And VFL media. And Cripps will be a bad father. If I am understanding Freo’s main objections to the result.

It was a tight game. I think they “controlled” more of it. But they didn’t put it on the board, so we were always close enough. A bounce, a one handed mark, a dodgy umpiring call….

We got the result. It happened.

A win whilst not playing that great. I'll take that all day long. We might have benefitted from a few lucky umpiring decisions but I'll gladly take that.

We're still unbeaten that's the most important thing. It's a sign of a good team that you still find a way to prevail when not at your best imo. The Dockers to be fair seem like a much improved team this year.

We did hence why we would've been upset with the umpiring had we lost.

But the umpiring at the end was putrid. I don't blame them for being angry.

Just want a well umpired game. Even the neutral games where I couldn't give a single care who won have been umpired atrociously.

No tin foil hats needed. No conspiracies. It's just not been remotely close to the standard required this year.
Kennedy should have had a chance to put us in front here. Clearly infringed by Ryan who isn't even looking at the ball. Isolating one umpiring decision in the last minute and forgeting about every decision prior is not right imo.

Gotta laugh at the Freo supporters sooking about the umpires.
7 outta 9 goals from frees (granted 3 or 4 of them clear cut) the others were horrible, great spoil by Gov on Amiss, text book defensive spoil and gets a free.
Ball brushes the back of the arm and a players hair (C'mon his hair) slowed down in a replay shown 10X yeah I saw that, full speed live at ground level no chance.
Stop whining my God!!

Problem is we got a lot of small tacklers no small crumbing goal scorers .
I think it's 2 part and still very much a coaching aspect

1, we have two very dangerous KPFs, so we go long to one or both. Great for our sides predictability, but it's also predictable to the opposition. More congestion, less room for our smalls to operate

2, those small/mid sized forwards don't hit up at the ball carrier enough and or our midfield don't honour their leads when they do. It would create more room and space for all our forwards

Post that everywhere.

Yes agree with both points but for how often the ball is on the ground in our fwd line we don't have many opportunistic goals kicked - even after those fwd fifty stoppages from tackles who do you see of as small fwd dangerous around stoppage it's all well and good creating fwd stoppage better if you score from them -

Gee moir bar his snap looked a long way off in the VFL other day. Mind you he has a fantastic physique for a young footballer and moves well - would start favourite at the barrier trials
Some players thrive, surrounded by better quality around them

It's a strange, if that were the case then you would think we would be throwing our forwards in there more like Kennedy and Fogarty and we aren't.
Fog rotates into the middle, but yeah with Kennedy it might be a combination of needing him to essentially play the third tall forward role with Martin and JSOS out, plus wanting a quicker, more agile player in there to avoid being too slow.

I can’t see the entire match pressure ratings but it seems that Freo applied elite pressure levels above 210

When you apply that much you’re probably winning 90+% of the time

Likewise we aren’t going to have too many games this year when we have that much pressure applied to us - so instead of thinking we only beat Freo by a goal or two or got lucky we should be thinking we stood up to an elite pressure rating of 210+ and still managed to win - which frankly is really crazy good
