I think Walsh and Doc are more important to our clearance game than Pitto.

Yes he is a much better tap ruck but Jackson would’ve destroyed him today.

Would like to stick with TDK for now. He is not going to improve his tap work by sitting in the forward line for 80% of the game. Pitto to become a factor in the second half of the year when the games slow down and clearance dominance becomes more important.

Exactly, you can’t just tee off on an umpire and expect there to be no repercussions

A lot of people were critical of the umpiring last week, paying lots of ‘soft’ free kicks and the high count, but I actually think that it is much better, being red hot on holding-the-ball and incorrect disposal, as opposed to today when they largely let it go, bar for the 3 goals to the Dockers.

They’re on a hiding to nothing. Put the whistle away and people will whinge.

Carroll has been ok but we are carrying him a bit with his low TOG and hes clearly our weakest link in midfield...im worried that there's too much load on our core mids with Carroll only a bit part contributor at the moment and injuries to Doc, Walsh, Cunners and now E Hollands.

Smashed at clearances today isn't a good sign.

It's a strange, if that were the case then you would think we would be throwing our forwards in there more like Kennedy and Fogarty and we aren't.

Don't really agree. Freo's game plan was to strangle us with flooding so in return they rob themselves of the ability to score freely. They dragged us down to their level. No team would be able to score freely if they are playing a 20 player defence.
