I think we lose Fog for a week or 2 though. His eyes were on Fyfe even though I think he was looking at him to punch it as soon as it landed in his hands.

I think that you'll find that contact started below the shoulder and carried up and there was incidental contact to the neck.

We won’t have a choice with Fogarty getting weeks and hollands hurting his adductor. With our injury management EH will be out for 4 plus require a 4 week fitness block.

I think Fog got him on the shoulder, thought he’d broken his wrist doing it.
Fyfe did what Freo were doing all day, throwing their heads back at any opportunity

Haven't seen anything but followed the scores, looks like we pinched one. I'll watch some 'highlights' later on.

Almost certainly touched, and sucks for Freo that it cost them the lead. Ultimately though, those little touches get missed every game - happened last week when Crippa got a fingertip on a pass to Curtis who subsequently goaled. Hard for the umpires to spot one that brushes an upper arm, and we certainly can't have the game overumpired to the point that every disposal is reviewed. We'd be livid if it had happened to us, and so I feel for them.

That being said...it cost them the lead, not the game. If that peanut Clark hadn't gobbed off at the umpire they'd have had time to try and manufacture a goal from the middle. Dumb.

Also....thank * for role players, hey....

The umpires do their best and we must take the good with the bad. That is footy and you make your own luck.

Even more improbable than the Brisbane win.

Barely did much right - Freo should be kicking themselves for not putting the game away much earlier.

Lots to work on, but the foundation and hunger is clearly there for this to be a special season.

Freo were ugly. They dragged us down to their level. They lucked out with some stupid defensive decisions from us. We always looked the more likely team to score, but just couldn't until the last.

Any team who plays like Freo just did, is never going to get a big enough margin in front. The opposition is always a chance to let class prevail.

Man on Man says it all - their game plan feels like taking the concept of tagging to a team level.

The best you can really do is negate, but it's very difficult to apply for the whole game - the talent can break away and get the better of you in a short period of time.
