Alright, that's enough.

The next poster who thinks they should have a crack at an individual or a collective reaction to this game is going to find themselves threadbanned. Terms like 'bleaters' or 'shit posters' will see things escalated further.

Let's discuss our views on the match without getting the knives out, please.

I'd be happy if a cuningham or more dynamic mid comes on for Kennedy in the 4 th qtr every week for the next month whilst Hewett works on things in the vfl. He's much better than what he's shown the last 4 games
I'd agree with that, but I think it Hewett wasn't in need of his minutes being sharply managed he would have been in the starting 22.

Too good and too versatile to send him down to the VFL for being overworked.

Some really poor takes here.

Games against the Dees have been like this since Kozzi beat us late in 2022. I think the margin has been a point each time we’ve met.

We were enormous for the three quarters. Cez’s hammy hurt us because he was having a blinder. They got their second win just as Hewett was subbed on.

And frankly we held up in defence. They arsed a couple of goals and got some dubious free kicks and found a third wind.

It happens.

But we won. And right now, while we’re going through this form slump, you take the win and you be proud of it because the Dees are not Norf or Richmond, they’re a top four side.

And if all the talk is about Trac, who did have a monster game (he loves playing us) then fine. I’m still proud of the boys. And I’m happy for the win.

Bloody hell, it’s madness that I even have to justify all that. Why can’t we be happy when we win even if the footy is less than perfect?

Well said...better than my take. Did cerra do his hammy against melb recently as well? Think it was the kozi picket game or one after that?

We were so good up until late in the third quarter.
I feel we have started to become too insular when protecting leads. We seem to go into shut down mode far too early.

Will take the win happily. We were the better side for almost 3 quarters until we got shaky.
I'm sure the coaches will continue to review but we need to get better than that... we should have iced that game.

Petracca is a freak.

We played well for 3 and a half quarters. The rain came harder, the ground was more heavy going, and our game style is taxing. These guys left it all out there on the field. We were out on our feet.

Really happy with the win against a good opponent. But come on ODN, we went defensive way too early and gifted them the chance late. Our defensive set up is woeful as we lose our outlet and allow our opponent multiple attacks.

When he sends our forwards to defence we have no one to kick it too so it guarantees a million entries by Melbourne in the last 7 mins.

Nothing to do with heavy going/tiredness. All to do with defensive stupidity plays/tactics by Voss.

You just proved my point again. Celebrate what? Losing a 5 goal lead in the wet against a team with 1 day less recovery.

I guess just accepting mediocrity is OK with some people.
We are posters on an internet forum. As are you. Our acceptance or otherwise has absolutely influence on our clubs culture.

Owies and Cincotta best games for the club.
Cinc was brilliant all night. Took Pickett right out of the game. Held Pickett to 9 disposals... and spent 100% of the game on the ground.
