Yes, we've had memorable moments
Rampe and goal post

We've had close finishes
With 16 of the past 33 games between the two sides resulting in a winning margin of 10 points or less, history suggests there's a 50-50 chance of another thriller on Saturday night.
We've had Parker upset Shiels

Great preview SP.

Love that you've put in a wealth of facts, stats, twitter posts, media comments, memorable moments and all sorts of interesting tidbits.

It makes me wonder why I didn't think to include some relevant stuff in last week's preview, instead of just making everything up. Heck, I didn't even get the date correct, though I'm not sure anyone noticed.

I'd almost forgotten Rampe trying to make love to a goal post. He seems to have a thing for inanimate objects. Didn't he fall heavily for a chain link fence a few years ago? He's worse than a frisky Labrador at a birthday party. Essendon players had better keep moving.

Peter Wrights height will be an issue to deal with (seriously). Plays tall and can kick set shots from 55-60. The type that McCartin may struggle with.

Need ramps to really get the clamps on Stringer and need to stop him
If he has stints in the midfield.

and finally don’t let that Nick Hind have his one good game a year against us again.

Head says we should win comfortably by 4-5 goals. A goal a quarter better or get out to an early 30 point lead and hold it for the game

Heart says this is the exact type of game we lose in the past 2-3 years

We've come from all walks of life, of all ages, lucky ones get to attend our games (AFL, AFLW, VFL, Academy), some like me love being in the game day thread as I'm mostly watching the game by myself at home on TV, love when someone posts photos from the ground, I feel as if I'm at the game with everyone, love people's comments in the autopsy thread as from the TV coverage we cannot appreciate how far players run, or cover their opponents, ...

We are all here because of our  of the Bloods, sharing our opinions (which we can ignore, agree or disagree with but treat each other with respect), facts, memes, social posts, yarns, gossip, news items, or whatever.

Hey, if we all posted the same style how boring would BF Sydney be?
Loved your preview. You made us laugh. We all need to laugh more.

I'm one of those on this forum that have lived through half of the South Melbourne/Sydney Swans history. Born and bred to go to all the games from the 50's onwards. <cough, splutter> <where are my glasses? oh, on my head> <where are my hearing aids?> <how far do I have to walk?> Oh yeah, some of us oldies tend to ramble.

Not Rampe or Cunningham on Stringer, we've seen how that goes before

But I think this will be the match up and they wont throw Roberts to the wolves

Then who do we put on Stringer? I haven't watched any Bomber games this year so not sure if he's still switching between midfield and forward or spending more time up forward.

Ollie or Sir Dane.

Worried about Melican on Langford who is a quality forward.

Ages since 2MP had a big game. Hoping it isn’t tonight

Essendon have nothing to lose

True, but they are not much chop.

Of the 4 traded in they will get some value from Goldy but the others are good ordinary footballers on their best days. Gresham for example was third banana small forward in an ordinary fwd line.

Collectively our four are a class above.

I’m looking forward to caesar88 perspectives on Jade Gresham’s eyebrows.

Always a season highlight.
