So good that 2021 start to the season. First putting Brisbane to the sword in the first round in front of the Gabba crowd. Gulden's first game, where he took the rising star award and gave the world a glimpse of how good he was. Two rounds later we demolished Richmond, a mere 13 games after the round 6 2020 shutdown where Hardwick complained publicly of our dour defensive game style, we showed Hardwick the flip side, a fast attacking style which he had no way of stopping. Without Oscar nominee Rance staging for free kicks we kicked 17 goals to their 10.

Back in June 2020 we had almost no forward power or contested marking options down the line, but we refused to roll over and let Richmond score. Mills in defence helped himself to a whopping 15 intercepts as we held the eventual premiers to just four goals for the game. It was kind of fitting that Mills got the three Brownlow votes in Rd 3 2021. Has any team ever rebuilt as quickly?

Our strength is their weakness. Expecting a pasting

- Tigers have conceded 63 points from intercept possessions this season, ranked 15th

- Swans are averaging 71.9 points per game from intercept possessions this season, ranked 1st

- Richmond have applied a pressure factor of 165 over the first 3 weeks this season, their lowest pressure rating over 3 weeks since 2016

- Swans have a pressure factor of 225 in defensive 50, ranked 1st

Others

Swans 39 tackles inside 50, 1st in 2024
26.7 intercepts inside forward half. 1st

Roberts has a kicking efficiency of 92.3%, ranked 2nd in top 50 kicks in AFL.

If we are serious contender (not convinced) then this should be either a comfortable 30 point win where we are never really challenged and never get out of 2nd gear or, a 60 point thrashing.

At the end of the day, 4 points, no injuries and a bit of percentage as a bonus is what we want

Need to win by 30+ just to maintain %.
Will need a 50 point win to improve %.

Depends. Winning 60-30 puts us at 143.5%. Just gotta keep them to a low score to balloon out percentage

Winning 110-50 putting us at 151% ticks about every box I'd like to see today
110-50 sure would be nice. I would be particularly happy if our pressure and defence are super effective as those are the things that will stand us in good stead at the pointy end. A high scoring offence is a bonus and accurate goal kicking the chef's kiss.

This could get ugly for the Tigers.

They've been poor when applying pressure this season

Give us an inch and we will take a mile

They're still trying to find a new system. Very awkward when half the team is playing one way and the other half another

Mind you with the number of outs the Tigers may surprise us.

Despite all this, I wouldn't be shocked for a 55pt win to the Swans
