for trealorHe's getting booted either way. 100 pts means he'll go up to $370k-ish, that's enough for me. I'll take the upgrade and run.

Yeah i am but it helps when you hit a 170+ VC/C 2/3 weeksAren’t you ranked in the top 1k?
Yeah nailing those VC/C choices are critical.Yeah i am but it helps when you hit a 170+ VC/C 2/3 weeks
On paper i don't think my team is as good as a few others in here.
I've decided that my penalty for not getting Dempsey last week is that I can't do two upgrades this week.
I refuse to accept that I've missed Dempsey, but I still need to grab Darcy this week so I don't have to pay a heap more for him next week. Flanders will go up, but by less. I'll get him next week.
Wines > Green
Billings > Dempsey
Reid > Darcy
About 400k in the purse to get Flanders next week
If there's a player who might justify the 650-k odd outlay, it would be Green, tbh.not sure who to bring in
the big dog T Green while I can - probably priced at expected output
or take some value with a Touk, Steele or Flanders who are likely all priced about 10 points under expected output.
If I don't take Green now then i'll need a few down games leading into his bye or I might never afford him.
Great, mate. How was your visit back in OZ scoops ?
Also on the train of Flanders next week, Touk most likely this week as expect him to go up more.
Oliver watch next week also.
Strategy to focus on the mids and drip feed in fwds. Backline is basically set, only missing Daicos with Martin or Yeo D6. That'll be done post Port game.
Interesting that rookies are drying up, feel like a few going gun ho on the trades will have to take the big risk to Gen money?
Sounds like you had a good time Travel safe ScoopsIf there's a player who might justify the 650-k odd outlay, it would be Green, tbh.
Can't buy at that price repeatedly, he might be one of those exceptions where paying close to top dollar is close enough to output..
Looking at Daicos, Dawson, few others. Shopping on a budget less sexy, less exxy
Great,mate.
Stuff changes over the years, but it's still a bloody great country.to be from.
Spent most of the time fixing up stuff around Scoops Sr's place (Mer-MAN, Scoops Sr,.Mer-MAN)
Only got into Melbourne for a couple of days, Capel Sound the one day (sounds a bit pretentious, good on them for being aspirational, Rosebud to Scoops haha)
Saw the Tigs get home vs the Swannies.
The Mighty, Mighty Vlastuin got the choccies, Heeney left it all out there, Errol never really got going and big Brodie was marking it OK around the ground, and going i50, thought :he played alright.
Scoops apparently has a flight out of Singapore this morning, hope to Christ she doesn't fall thru
This is actually a.really interesting part of it, where we all sit on cash gen.How is your cash gen? his BE is awfully low but you need to factor in the Bevo fact.
Yeah I’ve locked in the Steele trade. Unfortunately I was one of the few that went Grundy to Xerri last week. I don’t see Grundy as a keeper and I liked Xerri having no bye, plus giving me an additional 80k. The plan is to turn Xerri into EnglishYeah nailing those VC/C choices are critical.
Your team looks good. Unfortunately you’re in the same boat as I (and 22,000 other coaches) with Wines to deal with now. A Steele/Touk type with Martin at M5 will help alleviate your negative perception of your squad. Then you could probably look at something like Fyfe/Jordon to Flanders/rookie at the Swans bye.
Are you planning to punt Xerri to a Grundy/English type?
If Drew does tag Nick and he gets another low score, will you bring him in the week after?
If he's had two low scores against Hawks and Port, his BE will be eye-watering. I'll probably give him one more week and hope he doesn't double ton on Anzac Day.
I reckon there'll still be a few rooks come along. Hawks seem pretty keen on Ramsden getting a go. And he's priced higher than the rookies, but I'm very likely grabbing Elijah Hollands next week
This is actually a.really interesting part of it, where we all sit on cash gen.
Am at 11m, which seems OK, but hard to know where that sits, and some of the cows are drying up or at least hitting flat patches.
Thread/ poll on cash gen would be good
Think Darcy probably worth it, although the JS does seem pretty iffy.
No longer sure where I had seen it, but there was a poll about the number of trades used / left somewhere. The polled group will be a bit more active than the standard player and that might skew it, but it seemed like 35-odd trades was most common(?)Rage trades really kill the cash Gen / coverage from bench later in the season. Would be interested. I'm just shy of $11m value with $50k in bank.
Little more on this. Hindsight is a funny thing because I had enough to do Berry to Powell in one trade, but I didn’t have enough to go Young to Ryan with the other. I was set on getting Ryan, it was a non negotiable which actually cost me a couple points lol. Sexton to Carroll left me 8k off Young to Ryan, so that didn’t work. Looking back at it now I should have gone Harley Reid to Carroll and held Grundy.Yeah I’ve locked in the Steele trade. Unfortunately I was one of the few that went Grundy to Xerri last week. Jordan? How big of a risk am I taking with Clarke over Whitfield?
Love the extra money in the bank, the better bye and the lower ownership but have already had to sideways trade a lot of poor starters and nervous that Clarke just having a good run in some easier fixtures.
Not sure I fully trust Whitfield either but he’s more of a known commodity.
The Grundy - Xerri one in-season (as opposed to sticking with one's guns and just starting Xerri) is tricky.Little more on this. I was hopeful Xerri v TDK was a better matchup than Grundy v Nank and that plus not missing with a bye, would make up the points lost this week with Grundy most likely going 130+.
I can admit I probably made the wrong call, but hopefully Ryan over Young long term is worth it (I think it will be). I’ll admit though it probably would have been easier trading Daicos instead of Grundy if I was that desperate to get Ryan.
These days I think we are all allowed a few stupid trades. I think I’ll only really regret it if Xerri goes 80-90 the next monthThe Grundy - Xerri one in-season (as opposed to sticking with one's guns and just starting Xerri) is tricky.
Will have freed up cash, and he should earn a bit more than Grundy, but it has cost an additional trade at the end of the day.
I think he can be a 95-100 type, and might have patches where he goes higherThese days I think we are all allowed a few stupid trades. I think I’ll only really regret it if Xerri goes 80-90 the next month
Berry is a spud that we all got sucked into because he finally played one game where he got more than 10 possessions. There’s another 40 likely coming this week and there’s cash gen deadMany jumping off the GC guys in Sexton and Berry already after just one down game, interesting.
