Grundy ?
Offloading a guy with a 103 avg priced at only $507K with an 83 BE.
Holy s**t, people must think 40 trades means they get 20 to throw away.

Its only 1 week

Take the Pain.

It would be to Gawn/English or noone for me. Meek means 2 trades coz you wont be settling for him at R2. Plenty other options for some cash. Marshall costs 100K and no guarantee of anything better.

Grundy at R2 is so far down the priority list it aint even funny. You'll just end up wanting to buy him back when he's 600K+. He's a dead set HOLD if you forget about a 1 week fix it job.

But really, why is Grundy the most traded out player?

It’s not like folks are trading out every player on their bye.

Sure he’s not starting the season on fire, but his averaging ok.

And unless you’re going to Meek or Xerri, you’re spending valuable upgrade money to sideways.

Or your plan was to Trade Grundy at his bye? I think less would have done that it this Meek obsession didn't pop up.

Hi, my name is Bollox and i'm a tradeaholic.
I support Sydney, but i also remember i paid just $480K for my R2 this year. Barrrrrrgain.
I'm not throwing that away. Its just an easy hold.
I've got deep holes to fix at D4, D5, D6, M6, M7,M8, F5, F6...i dont need to spend 2 trades chasing a few points for just 1 week at R2 when i dont need to touch it. I'd rather spend trades fixing those holes thanx.

I guess some just arnt happy unless their $480K cheap ruck starts off going 125 avg in the first month. Those savings at R2 were well spent elsewhere....should i now throw it away by wasting trades on R2 ?

I tried.

Thank you. Well said.

You have put it well. Each to their own with their team

Do you have Howes?

Indeed, I do have Howes!

So could go Howes to Clohesy, Jordan to JHF. OR... Jordan to Holmes? Haven't seen much of either JHF or Holmes, so this is the dilemma that I'm sure to choose the wrong option on this week.

So where do we stand on Flanders?

My easy trade is Jordan to Flanders Howes to Clohsey. He should be able to continue scoring well at half back but it does seem somewhat risky paying 550k for one sample size

Ps Grundy to Xerri two weeks ago was the move :moustache:

Howes to Clohesy and Jordon to Tom Green.

I was going to trade roberts but i think hes got more money to make now. Might go massimo to any premium defender instead.

It does make a lot of sense...

You get an extra score this week, which is probably an an extra 50+ points (could be 100 points if whoever you bring in scores 140 and your rookies shit the bed with 30s/40s).

He's averaging low 100s. Low 90s for us if you remove R0.

Can Xerri match Grundy with a 100 average? Likely...
Can Meek match Grundy with a 100 average? Maybe... (2 games last year without Reeves in the side he scored 112 and 104)

Or you spend $100k and upgrade to Marshall. Does Marshall at least match his 114 average last year? For sure. It likely goes up a little.

So it comes down to what you think Grundy does on return. Does he get better, or does he stagnate around the 100 mark?

Up to Marshall for an extra 50+ points this week, plus a likely 10+ ppg for the rest of the year, for only $100k does make a hell of a lot of sense to me...

FWIW I'm 50/50, one eye on upgrades and what I can do with that $100k down the track

Stop talking me into Meek. Feels like a massive trap
The only concern is Reeves coming in. If Reeves was injured then we'd all get Meek. Scored 100+ both times he played without Reeves last year.

I don't trust Sam Mitchell enough to do it, so it's a no from me.

Anyone trading Daicos?
The only time it may have been worth doing it was 2 weeks ago. Back to back 100s, Pies playing better, 100% hold now.

he just seems so disinterested lol

I actually think he's trying really hard, looks pretty fit and driven. He's just really rusty with ball in hand. Which makes sense as he hasn't been playing regular footy for a few years, and he hasn't been the main ruck consistently for a few years. His stats look good, he's just sloppy.

Not overthinking it this week. Jordan to Closey via DPP. Holding Howes for def cover. Next week Howes and Massimo for T Green and Comben.

I’m thinking Howes to Closhey, then Bramble to Young. Leaves me $94k

I just don't think its worth a trade for an extra 50 points or so. Otherwise, why not trade out every underperforming premo on their bye?

(Granted, I have Jackson to swing into R2, so benching Grundy just means I probably take Darcy Wilson's score instead this round)

Tho if you brought Grundy in at the start with the strategy of upgrading him at his bye once you have a bit more moolah, I kinda get it.

But conversely, the aim of the game at this point is surely to turn all those on-field rookies into premos as quick as possible, and unless you're gaining money by getting Meek or Xerri instead, trading out Grundy just slows that down?
