et tu brute

So let me get this right.
He scores better rucking solo. There's a shock. Plus his spud scores were when he started forward.

Next you'll be saying that no way Mitchell will play Reeves again. Highly unlikely.

I don't know enough about Reeves vs Meek.

Nuffy rocker thinks Reeves taller , bit of a spud on legs .
Meek 25 odd prob got the harder body eats more proteins got more muscle.

I think meek should have dp was forward lots last year.

everyone plays behind the ball these days.. comben is worth waiting the week on, as hes essentially an mp at this point. if hes put back up forward and scores 30, would you still bring him in?
He won't move forward. Clarko wants him in defence. It's an attempt at injury prevention as much as anything.
Drafted in 2019 roughly 20 games across VFL/AFL.
Missed about 65 through injury.
Injury risk is real

Can you change a traded in player for another player during rolling lockout after the traded out player has played?

Eg. Trade out Neale (playing Thursday night) and trade in Rozee (playing Saturday night).

Then tomorrow AFTER Neale has played trade Rozee to Serong (both play Saturday night) without using another trade. So the total amount of trades is still 1.
Yep

Its obvious Meek is a risk but no one at 357k is a sure thing. He has shown potential, doesnt mean he will deliver on it but also he could do a Briggs. I think its a bold move to get him but its a good opportunity to do something like that this week, might provide some handy $ and by using a trade to downgrade this week potentially means you wait an extra week to cull a rookie - which could be a difference of 30k+ or whatever that rookie makes.

It depends on your risk appetite, what rookies/mid pricers you already have etc BUT with 2 big scores and the fact you make nearly 150k on the popular Grundy downgrade - the Meek trade has its utility. Could be a game changer for better or for worse but you need to be bold to win this game and the Meek trade is bold. Maybe it will end up being stupid in the long run or it could set up your next few weeks really well as upgrade season begins. Not my job to be telling people they are idiots or geniuses or whatever, we will see how it washes out in the next few weeks.

A few fun comben facts.
Was going to be drafted as a midfielder at 17. Grew about 20cm and came to us in the second round as a ruck/kpf.
Clocked as the fastest player in the AFL last year. 37km/hr
Missed heaps of games through impact injuries. Possibility that the giant growth spurt had something to do with it idk.
The last one is odd. His confidence has been at an all time low recently. Clarko was going to pick him round 1. He asked to play VFL.
His game last week you could see his confidence improve in the second half.
He's one of those injury prone great white hope types. I really hope he gets a good run at it

I'm using Meek to buy time. I don't expect Briggs-like premium scores, but I'll settle for 80-90 average and some cash gen while I figure out what I'm doing in the ruck.

I'd hold Grundy but his 94 average isn't doing much for me when he misses at least two of the next 8 rounds.
English is hold but I'm hesitant to splash 692k on anybody. With some luck he might get below 650k at the same time Meek is peaking, granted this is a dream with English set to dine on the Bombers tomorrow.

Maybe after 2-3 weeks, I'll be happy to settle for Darcy or Marshall if I'm happy enough with them.

Meek buys time and gives some money to splash elsewhere whilst hopefully only losing 5-10 points a game from Grundy (which would actually result in more points given Grundy's byes)

either way you should still be able to get heeney next week. its dumb to bring both in, but im doing it.

Doubling the chance of that 2-games and dropped, and from the same team!

Correction on this.
Combens top speed last year was 37.8km/hr
Equal fastest ever with Gary Rohan.

I keep tossing up who to cull for Flanders

Mass vs Mckercher vs ZWill

Leaning towards mass even though I think the rain the last 2 weeks blunted his scoring

I don't have Mass.

But I noticed CJ back soon ...

Is there another option
