Think you need to just ride Fyfe until he breaks – only 8 ppg off being a top-10 forward at the moment (would just about be, had he not been subbed off in Round 2).

Not by any means saying he's a year-long keeper, but he's fine for now considering how horrific the forward options are.
Yeah I'm completely torn about this - would love to keep Fyfe but for me it's either:

Out: Stewart & Fyfe
In: Walsh & Steele

OR

Out: Stewart & Zilliams
In: Walsh and Blakey/Siciliy (aren't rolled gold premos like Steele)

this game occupies so much mental space

How many games is Stewart likely to miss?

Anyone that started Heeney thinking of shorting him?

Parker back very soon.
659k is top dollar and conceivably could be back at HF for majority of games.

86 avg last season, 136 this season.
The good times will dry up soon enough.

Just spitballing.

probably just one for concussion but i think it's advantageous to trade him out especially with zac williams in defence too

and don't really wanna pass up on walsh, chasing points by trading out stewart but i'm gunning to get back in the 1k club
Id be keeping Stewart mate. Seems to me he is nearly bottomed in price, a lot of us will be bringing him in the next couple of weeks.

Maybe keep Stewart and trade out Zilliams and a cash cow , get in Walsh and a new cow like Garcia or Mcaullife.

No rush on Steele.

Factoring in bye, injury risk, pre-season, fixture and form.

Is Serong worth 35K more than Walsh?

I just rather pay the 35k and not worry about Walsh.

My belief that is that our club is extremely conservative with Walsh. I smell any form of soreness they will sit him out regardless.

Just want to flag, his back injury started at the end of 2022 and we were really cautious with him during the 2023 and even at the start of the year. (He had a full pre-season prior to round 1 and rumours was that he was cherry ripe to go 2 weeks but the club say nah you sit out for a bit longer).

I think he will miss 2-3 games in the back-end of the season just to rest him and if he goes unscathed after the end of season we probably see him playing 22 games barring injuries in 2025.

Look, if you have cover for him at the second half of the season, go for it. But you have to go through 16 more weeks of anxiety about team sheets.

Looking like this heading into R7. Not ideal having to sit Stewart due to his concussion, but DEF/MID DPPs came at the perfect time to help cover him.

Have one boost left and strongly considering using it on Sharp to Nyuon if he is named. Main reason being, looking ahead it looks like reliable rookie prospects are going to be dire, apart from perhaps Garcia (Dogs) who I don't trust staying in the team under Bevo, and Leek Aleer - who could be the better option getting an extended run with Sam Taylor out for an extended period due to the severity of his concussion it seems.

Would then aim to bring in English next week via Cadman (Jacko to switch back FWD), and it'll see me with 3 rookies onfield + Roberts who is scoring like a premo at the moment! Oh, and Reid is now a premo it seems! ;)

Is everyone treating Clark as a dead rookie?

What the lowest $$$ he can get to $102K?

so dead I punted him last week - might roughie him back later if his price drops to low levels and he is still getting games

yes cant drop below $102k

I've got Jackson as R2 and it's killing me. At this point it's basically an upgrade to trade him to Gawn, halting getting a rookie off the field. Do I have to just cop it and continue upgrading? I haven't moved from 10k rank basically all year, not owning him has really set me back from any form of competitive finish

To late to trade him to save money.

Hold and work on getting him into the forward, not a heap of value in trading now and he's a top6 FWD or thereabouts in this crop.
Who's R1? English? Unlucky if so, he'd be great buying next week and an ideal way to swing Jackson down to the FWDs.

Walsh back does worry me, Dawson playing for SC arsonist Stevie Nicks behind the Stobie Pole curtain is equally concerning.
Do you just take the 40k and use that elsewhere and hope Nicks finally figures it out or do you hope that Walshy's back doen't go under the weight of all the bandwagoners?

I've decided I'm going to wait a week on Dawson/Macrae to see what happens when Crouch and Libba get back and just upgrade to get a genuine keeper (Houston) instead. Realistically only costs you ~20k extra maximum to grab them next week, but if they shit the bed it will be a massive bullet dodge.

Anyone worrying about Young, seems OK.

I do have English as R1 unfortunately. Doggies bias got the better of me at the start of the year!

All set up for Young's hammy to go ping in the first quarter and add more carnage to the defence.

Really not sure what to do this week

Stupid bevo stuffed me if sanders had gotten a 60 my trades would be easy

I will be doing

Williams to a rookie

Sharp to Walsh.

The question is do I get rid of sanders also before he drops 30k this week. Is 30k worth a boost. If I dump sanders it leaves me 180k and I can get petracca next week for Darcy and Wilson.

Team post trades.
