Watched most of the game,
For a pick 50, Garcia is going to be a very good player.
Campbell is so good at vfl level.
Byrnes seemed to be at half back in the 3rd, thought he was important.
Paton is good at vfl level.
Jones is good at vfl level
Crouch & Phiillipou got cut up by pacier GCS mids.
Sharman should ave. 3 goals a game at that level.

Easy to say that but who else could we have picked in that draft with that pick. It was extremely slim pickings.

Our original pick was Max Holmes followed by Bowey and Bailey Laurie who looks a really good prospect too.


Charlie Lazzaro went after our pick, would have been handy.

Holmes would have been good, but he did fly up the draft order. When we traded for Higgins, we probably thought he could get him at our pick. Disappointing in one sense but I still think almost everyone would do the Higgins trade again without hesitation.

I also left a short way into the last. Gee, Campbell (as others have said) is dominant at VFL level. Heath seems to be on the bench a lot, unsure if injury/awareness or tank.

Bloke at GCS full back yelling "subah" or some shit, subah struggled I think.

I agree with some Phillipou comments, not all. To me it looks more like a positional identity crisis.

Crouchy is way too good for VFL level and offers far more to the team than Seb Ross. Personally think Lyon has put a line through him tho because of his professionalism or lack thereof. Great bloke, loves a beer but not the kind of guy who weighs his food and does pilates in his spare time.

As this stage he is looking more and more like a Pick 10 who was taken too high.

When he was drafted we all thought that he was a Pick 10 who had slipped and we were lucky to get him at Pick 10.


Hopefully he can build his body and strength over summer and so that we can see a stronger, quicker and better Pou in 2025.

How about he is a kid who for all intents and purposes should have been taken in the most recent draft, he is weeks older then Arie for example.

Surely Batchelor need to put the clamps on Atkins he has 26 disposals for a half of footy. GCS has some speed and class out there if we get away with a win today we would have done well. Agree with others its time to give Hall a run through the midfield.

Ethan Read taken at pick 9 last year for GCS doesnt look that much more advanced than Heath, which is a positive. If Max can start clunking the marks he nearly takes he will be a player.

Collard will be better than Bobby Hill when he matures and gets the body ready for the AFL.

Totally agree on Max Hall going on the ball as he’s trying to adjust to a new game plan
It will give him more confidence
And Especially as Crouch couldn’t run in last quarter due to his knee

He's got 6 years before he's even 25.

I can think of a number of players who didn't break out until after that age and then went on to be AA players.

He doesn't have to be Bont to be a really, really good player.

He is still a draft steal in my opinion and I very much look forward to him playing another 300 games in the RW&B
