Garcia & Hotton are still developing but both have a future as mids, Garcia in particular will be a ripper. Hall was recruited as a mid, but for some reason hasnt been seen in there as yet.

It has been that way since Hayes etc retired, our recruiting/drafting was appalling over that period. Its been the biggest gap in our list for far too long and has restricted any team progression over that time. Then look at teams like Sydney & Geelong they have endless options and are always bringing in new kids.

Looking into the future other clubs will have ridiculous midfield depth due to their academy and F/S selections. We have been our own worst enemies and cant realistically blame anyone but ourselves.

That lineup is misleading. Garcia would've been named if not for travelling emergency duties. Hotton played full time mid but teams never name position changes - Hotton actually looked really good as a full time mid, I think we need to stop messing him around as a HF/mid. Dow also was almost available so in reality, it could've easily been Garcia Hotton Ross Dow as the midfield 4
