Sydney has:

9 players out

Delisted: Harry Arnold, Aaron Francis, Joel Hamling, Jaiden Magor, Lachlan McAndrew, Cooper Vickery

Traded: Jacob Konstanty, Luke Parker

Retired: Sam Reid

4 players in

Draft: Harry Armstrong, Jesse Dattoli, Matt Whitlock, Luke Urquhart

Reported to be interested in rookie-ing Francis and/or Hamling.

3 to 5 list combined list places seems excessive. Am I missing something?
Sydney took a MSD selection. Not sure if they had a spot free for that, or if there was an injured player put on the Inactive List. If the latter, then the MSD selection will use up a spot.

2024 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft

First round

1. North Melbourne - Geordie Payne (Tasmania, Coates Talent League)
2. Richmond - Jacob Blight (Peel Thunder, WAFL)
3. West Coast - Jack Hutchinson (Collingwood, VFL)
4. St Kilda - Max Hall (Box Hill, VFL)
5. Hawthorn - Jasper Scaife (West Perth, WAFL)
6. Brisbane - Will McLachlan (Geelong Falcons, Coates Talent League)
7. Adelaide - Toby Murray (Adelaide, SANFL)
8. Western Bulldogs - Kelsey Rypstra (North Adelaide, SANFL)
9. Carlton - Cooper Lord (North Melbourne, VFL)
10. Collingwood - Iliro Smit (Eastern Ranges, Coates Talent League)
11. Melbourne - Luker Kentfield (Subiaco, WAFL)
12. Port Adelaide - Logan Evans (Port Adelaide, SANFL)
13. Essendon - Saad El-Hawli (Northern Bullants, VFL)
14. Sydney - Tom Hanily (Gippsland Power, Coates Talent League)

Second round

15. North Melbourne - Brynn Teakle (East Fremantle, WAFL)
16. Richmond - Campbell Gray (Essendon, VFL)
17. Brisbane - Luke Beecken (Woodville-West Torrens, SANFL)
18. Adelaide - Pass
19. Collingwood - Ned Long (Collingwood, VFL)

Third round

20. Richmond - Pass
21. Brisbane - Darcy Craven (East Perth, WAFL)
22. Adelaide - Pass

Fourth round

23. Brisbane - Pass

Brisbane will take Darragh Joyce and Darcy Craven as promised.

Adelaide will take Lucas Impey.

A mobile ruckman/tall forward has had an excellent year for the Western Jets in the Coates Talent League averaging 14 disposals, three marks and 30 hitouts. He was also prominent during the National Championships where he led Victoria Metro’s ruck division in its title-winning run.

Impressive speed for a big guy recording 2.99 seconds for the 20m sprint.

Adelaide done.

Over to Blugazi.

Gold Coast pick Sam Durdin (so Carlton don’t)

Out of that list. We really pick a diamond in the rough with Lord

Collingwood select: Will Hayes (not the Carlton one).

Height: 180cm, D.O.B: 16-05-2006

SNAPSHOT: “A wingman with terrific endurance who runs intelligent patterns and plays his specialist role to a tee.” – Denholm Melrose

Despite an injury affected season, Will Hayes has proven to be the premier wingman in the WAFL Colts competition and is every chance to be drafted in November. He patrolled the outside for both the premiership winning Claremont Tigers and for Western Australia at the National Championships where Hayes was an Under 18 State representative.

That's it for the dirty rotten Magpies :thumbsu:

ps well done to TENACIOUS - another brilliantly run phantom draft, and a huge thank you!!!

Back to Soapy V if Carlton have another pick

Carlton select Liam McMahon

I have some doubts but he deserves a chance and can fill several roles. Playing mostly KPF he is the old school lead up type with good hands and a goood kick for goal

I could easily see him trialled as a KPD during the pre season. We need some KP depth that can step up straight away if needed and he can also play the 2nd ruck role if required. If Jack moves to defence he can help fill that void.

23 next year, he is ready to step up

Hey T. Great job mate. You may have missed my earlier post. Brisbane will take Darragh Joyce and Darcy Craven with their two picks. Promised delistings made by the club earlier. Cheers.

Hawthorn pick Jack Gunston

Coona Blues Geelong are up.

We’re nearly finished, just a reminder to those left to let the next person know it’s their pick

Pick 24: RICHMOND - Jack Whitlock - Murray Bushrangers - 200cm - Key Forward
Highly touted since U/16s, Jack has slipped a little in his draft year (as has his twin Matt). But still provides a compelling option at this stage of the draft. A key forward who can spend time in the ruck is highly desirable in modern football, and the Tigers would be looking for a player of this type. Samson may be seen as the long-term replacement for Nank in the ruck, but a viable forward/ruck is something they're lacking. Liam Fawcett and a couple of Cat-B basketballers are the only other real options. Perhaps Koschitzke, but see him more as Lynch backup.

Other options at this pick: Kicking myself that I could have had Shanahan or Armstrong, who went the two picks before this one - had I not traded out pick 22 (original pick 18), could have had my choice. Anyways, looked at Gerreyn as another forward/ruck, or Sims/Faull as pure tall forwards.

Next up: Pick 25 (21) GWS bradfisher14

TENACIOUS
Nice one. I love his highlights, looks way better than pick24. I reckon (the real) Melbourne will reach for him at 9.

Whitlock and Van Rooyen would have the potential to be a nasty combination for years to come.

Will take Riley Bice.

A footballer first, good user, run and carry back man.

Athletically might struggle, but I will back him to overcome limitations and get to implement his skills.

Left footer too, which is always nice.

Next pick will be Toby Pink, unless someone else takes him
