Only scumbag clubs walk players to the PSD.. kinda like what your mob did with Jack Martin. Frowned upon and disrespectful. Trading is mutual and professional, doing shit like that only burns bridges. You wouldn’t like it if bottom clubs started picking off your team players by doing that.

Yeah clubs that do that maybe we should consider it we need to change the mojo of our club as our club is a laughing stock with a losing mentality.
This needs to change if want to gain respect we may need to get a bit of Alan Funt into us as for the other clubs Fu:k them.
I remember in the 90s we were ahead of the Bulldogs and Saints when we were successful and now they have leaped frogged us big time and we as a club are the worst of the Victorian teams.
That why we need to get inventive like 8pm Friday games at Marvel when there’s a Friday night game interstate then BS experts have no excuses like can’t make it kids footy going to Grand Prix or even I’m going to see a 3rd rate yank comedian in Shitefield .
Need to start thinking for the future no more BS Woke garbage that will get this club nowhere.

The Zurhaar contract is a long one and he plays a position we seem to have a lot of coverage for. If we could have got pick 3 for Zurhaar then on its own if this was FIFA you'd take it and use it to grab the best KPF in the draft. But it's not FIFA players leaving and not buying into the program has an impact, especially for a team thats been through a lot of tough times and is supposed to be on the up.

We kept all the players we wanted to. They've all bought into make a first of it. We can see Zurhaar is giving it his best shot in the preseason getting external support to come back in tip top shape. I think this is important for us right now - maybe more important than picking up another high draft pick.

But agree that Zurhaar's output alone from this year probably doesn't justify the waiving the first rounder.

I like what Zurhaar brings to the midfield rotations. To maximise our return I'd like to see this part of his game develop. I also think he's played at times some good footy down back. So maybe with added flexibility we could see an increase in contribution from him over the seasons and less focus on him just as a forward.

I’m with yah on this The Job. Zurhaar should’ve been played more through the midfield in the season just played. It was an opportunity lost IMO. And yes when Noble played Zurhaar back he didn’t look half back. :stern look

I think it’s near on impossible to trade down and get 2 picks in this draft. I don’t think we would get bang for buck if we did anyway. Our pick 2 has less value than previous years due to the evenness of the first round. Trade down and address list needs over 2 years rather than using pick 2 on a player that isn’t a priority.

I know everyone is eager to get players in, but if we can find ways to bring in multiple quality players that fill a need I am all for it. No offence to these types, but the quicker we can phase out players like Pink, Teakle, Darling, Dawson we will be better for it in the long run.

Shanahan looks better for me as a KPF

Personally I’d take Armstrong over Shanahan. He is more athletic, quick and is a beautiful kick for goal.
I’d also even take Tauru over Shanahan as a key position player given his courage and versatility.

Dees have drafted JVR and Jefferson last couple years. They’re just not ready to be full time KPFs yet.

JVR has been solid however there’s no guarantees that Jefferson will be as well. If Armstrong is on the board the Dees will take him. I’ve heard that they are very keen on him. Armstrong is ready to have an impact at AFL level as early as next year.
