We need to trade our future first to Fremantle for 11 . With something else as well.
They will be keen for 1st Rounders next year for Warner .
No thanks

Keep the future first (I’m hoping it was considered only when Houston was in play)

Send a future 3rd for Parker

Future second for Daniel and a future 3rd
Or 3 team trade pick 44 and 62 to blues, Kennedy to dogs, Daniel to us

Split pick 2 with Richmond for 6 and 10/14 (equally happy to keep pick 2)

Hit the draft with picks 6,10/14, 25 and 44 if not used on Daniel

Fyi

Our Club is a far cry from what it once was.

For anyone wondering what North's final offer to Port was, it was 13 (using their future 1 to get it from the Gold Coast), and a late pick. They talked a big game saying they'd get the requisite picks for the deal but wouldn't cough up when the rubber met the road.

This does not however make the final iteration of the deal any better, just passing on the info.

Can’t we trade someone for some picks?
We had our chance to let Zurhaar go to Pies and we would have received pick 3. This would have given us a huge opportunity to attract a good player and stay in the draft. But no - we let that one slip because we need another half forward who goes at half rat power for 18 games a year.

Yeah i don't get it either Passmore all this doom and gloom. We will still more than likely end up with Luke and even if we don't get anyone else we go to the draft and either split or keep pick 2 and end up with a gun player ready to go as we know these days generally speaking top 5 pick are ready to go from the start and with our 2nd pick a promising KPF or one of the small forwards. So far from doom and gloom and shut the gate time.
If we still have pick 2 (likely at this stage) then I’m hoping we go for one of the two most certain kids available: Smith or Draper. Both are champions in the making and would give us some incredible versatility in the middle.

In saying that, if we somehow trade out pick 2, then needs 100% of the way. There may be a small chance that one of the big 5 all year slides as well.

Leaving us with only pick 2 in the best draft since we started our rebuild ✅

Issue is that Richmond, Sydney and definitely the Dogs would never agree to any of that.

Wow. We’re actually being rimmed by these bigger clubs because of our desperation.
How ****ed is that. For a 293 gamer and Daniels?
Gee-whiz getting afl assistance was easier

Could easily swap 2 for crows 4 and some change for Draper.
