I’m fairly sure this won’t be the case. It’s not just pick that can be split. There are futures to play with. We will definitely have more top [emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] picks in this draft

The Kane hate parade need to watch this, nothing but positivity and facts from him.
My shoes squelch better commentary and opinion than Kane.

At least we found Clarko's username.

These talking head ponces do my head in - as if Damien Barrett has ever displayed more knowledge about football than the average kid on the street.
The real lesson of trade advertising subscription week is how low standard the AFL Media is. I dare say a media company with more viv could trump bog standard 'hutchy'. AFL had already sold free tv away from members. Sell the players against their will. Sell the clubs to new markets.

Why would anyone in their right mind suggest cornes had anything worthwhile to say?

I love North but the AFL is fecked.

I am a busy living man and can't wait for the three generations it will take for the competition to die from haemophilia

Both parties have leverage.

Our leverage is that if we don't get a satisfactory offer for pick 2, then one of Carlton, Adelaide or Melbourne will take their second favourite player.

Their leverage is that there's no one else for us to deal with.
We’ll take Lalor then, out of sheer spite!

We have the leverage

More than happy to take Lalor/FOS at 2 if it’s not at least 6 and 11 coming back
There is no way we get 6 and 11 for pick 2, the points difference is too great, it's over 550pts which is the equivalent of a late second round pick, Richmond would be stupid to even consider it unless we included a future first or second to get it over the line, and I would hope we aren't stupid enough to give away our future first.

Also, I don't think we have the leverage, we are the ones with only one pick in the first three rounds and are desperate to get a second first round pick, all the clubs know we have gone midfield heavy over the last 3 or 4 drafts and looking at KP talent this draft and it's probably too big a risk to take someone like an Armstrong, Trainor or whomever with the second pick.

If Richmond offer 6 and 18, I'd suggest we take it and try and use 18 and future pick to move up further if we fear a player we are targeting may get poached by another club.

Richmond will want pick 2, its unlikely they would want to take all those picks in one draft, be a list manager’s nightmare.

Whats the best we’ll ask for 6 n 10 but will settle for 6 and 11. Might end up costing us a future 4th
I would have thought that having Pick 2 gives us a fair degree of leverage. I wouldn’t cry too much if we ended up with only Pick 2 and Pick 62 this year. We’ve already drafted in a swag of young talent. Pick 2 gives us a real shot at bringing in another bonafide gun. Both Larkey and Zurhaar came from the very dregs of the draft.

Pick 2 would have leverage if we were gunning for one of the top mids.
we've announced to the world we ain't after mids, so teams know we want to trade it out.
we are our own worst enemy

Comparing points to picks to me is a useless exercise. If a club wants pick two they have to pay for it if they don’t want to pay we keep simples.
