Game Day 2024 Trade Period - Lian Yu - that liminal space between trade and draft.

Can't Hathorn trade the future firsts for Barrass and then WC plan to use them to get Warner?
They're not going get both F1s for Barrass. One or the other but not both.
What the budgies might then do is split 3 for a later first this year and a F1. With Barrass for a F1 that would give them three firsts next year for Chad

I would do Bolton/Baker/Pick20 for 10/11/18
I don't understand why this keeps being mentioned? Tigers want more than 10 and 18 for Bolton and presumably wanted 14 for Baker. But somehow we are going to get both of them for basically pick 10 and 11? It's just not going to happen. That being said Baker won't come to Freo regardless.

Eagles get futures for Barrass.
Flick one of them to Richmond for Baker still.

Not terrible for Richmond who can defer one pick into 2025 to spread them, and also use it on draft night if Essendon need to trade out to match an early bid for Kako or something.

Both deals still happen as planned.
Eagles getting a F1 is horrible for us and Warner next year. I don’t think Hawthorn do this well next year

Means nothing if Chad nominates Freo though. Also won't need 3 firsts, he'll be OOC and Sydney will be limited at what they can match salary wise (this more applicable to WC than Freo to be fair).

10/11 for Bolton and 20 and 18 for Baker is pretty spot on IMO

Three first will give them maximum options, not that they'll give them all over for him

Freo + Bolton + Baker = premiership contender

Freo + pick 10, 11, 18 = 9th

It will be interesting to see what the Freo list manager chooses to do.
I've tried to be patient but man a lot of you have your head way too far up your own arse

No, 10 and 11 for Bolton and 20

18 for Baker

Both of those are dead on IMO, particularly with the massive prices being given for top 14 picks
Ohhhh i got ya now. I guess it depends on if the reports are true that we tabled 10, 11 and 18 for both of them. I'd certainly be happy with that deal to walk away with a late first.

Surely Baker OOC is only worth a pick in the 20’s so 10,11,18 with 20 coming back does sound about right for both

If they think Barrass is the missing piece & he is still contracted then 14 sounds about right.

I think they’re pretty keen on getting Sicily forward.

I never understood the need for both Barrass and Battle. Sicily forward, as you suggest, may be the reason for both. Mitch Lewis was injured towards the end of this season and he would be a handy addition to their forward stocks again in 2025

It would seem the Hawks don't value Barrass as this years pick 14 after trading it away however. It's a real kick in the shins to the Eagles to trade that pick 14 out at this point.

It has made things a lot more interesting for next week now.

Realistically, I highly doubt that Hawks traded 14 knowing it would cost them Barrass. they would have a plan. That deal will still happen, as will Baker getting to the Eagles.

On another note, I would rather drag my balls through glass than pay pick 10 for Liam Baker and give him a 5-year deal.

I'm guessing that we won't go any higher than 10 and 18 for Bolton (Baker who?) plus steak knives

as we want to keep 11 to trade during the draft for a better F1 which we intend to use with our 2025 1st for the out of contract Warner next year (or even Kosi should Warner not happen).

So, I don't see us folding at all for the 11 and the steak knives will include other picks this year or future, or even a swit to make this happen this way. Not going to miss out on Warner if we can get him because RFC are greedy.

Tier 1 stars like Bolton, Kosi/Warner take this very talented young team to the next level. Not more kids that won't get a game for years. This is why we took these F1s last year.
