Would essentially (from a Richmond perspective) be back to the 10,11,18 for Bolton+Baker that we had on the table. So it is very much a possibility and I'd be fine with it.

The other trade being bandied about is 10+18+30 for Bolton+51. It seems Richmond needs the 30 to trade Rioli+30 for 6+23, so that might be what happens.

But if we had to choose between 14+30 or 11+51, I'd take the former. Good chance Berry and/or Hannaford will be there at 14. And I really want Davis, and 30 is right in the mix.

Don't think we are getting Bolton for just 10+18. There will have to be some compromise somewhere.
10,11,30> Bolton, 14
(Holding 14,18,67) value pick 3/4
Vs
10,18,30,67> Bolton, 51, 61
(Holding 11,51,61) value pick 2/3

I prefer the option where we go draft with 14,18,67

Gettable saying the Bolton deal won’t get done today, but still confident it will get done. Still a standoff around pick 11
If that is what is holding it up then I really hope we stand our ground tomorrow.

There is no point having a position you cling to for a couple of weeks to cave at the bell. Just sets you up to get reamed in a similar manner year after year

Taking 3 first rounders in a draft prior to Tassie coming in could be a calculated smart move.

The difference in quality between 11 and 14 is stark.

11 becomes 13 during the draft.
14 becomes 16.

No it doesn't and I hate that it's thought of in this way. The academy picks are not accessible anyway so they do not count as picks. The only way they get picked is if the destined team refuses to match the bid and how often does that happen?
