The AFL has history with that too when Gary was picked up by Gold Coast and Geelong were upset about the amount of compensation they would get - so the AFL gave them an even higher class.

I’d do that, take a strong kid this year and has locked our required first round selection to use multiple future 1st to trade for Warner or Pickett next year.

If we need more 1sts two second rounders can always be traded for a 1st like we did with port
