So that pick 14 huh. I'm not sure if you folks will like it but karma says we are getting Tom Barrass.

Richmond are finishing bottom next year. It’s pick 37
IIRC, we drafted both Sonny and Lachie Neale in the third round. I think we also drafted both Freddie and Spurr around here as well. Barlow came much later in his draft year, and literally every team in the comp overlooked Treacy originally.

I agree that for any other club, a third round pick means didlly-squat.

But other clubs don't have our drafting team. They have genuine talent at turning a chicken-shit pick into yummy chicken salad.

Historically speaking, nobody in the AFL has ever taken Freo very seriously. The draft concessions we've gotten over time drive that home very clearly.

But just like Ani DiFranco, we've 'built our own empire, out of car tyres and chicken wire'. To our drafting team, a third round pick is pure ice-cream. I trust their judgement.

To me, doing that deal - in this trading environment - is actually quite fair.

Besides which, given what the Eagles got for pick 3, the Bolton deal is enough to have WC fans putting down the sack-cloth and ashes for a moment, to start literally eating their livers while preaching the Armageddon.

How wonderful 😎😎😎

Yes more tax but it’s still more MONEY!!

Also he can get a good accountant (not Snuffaluphagus ) to set up some other business’s where he can make a loss /minimize tax , negative gear etc
-And as I said “opportunities “ outside of football

But again your still looking at it from merely a fans perspective/opinion , maybe he does value those things above cash but then MAYBE he doesn’t?

It’s just not as cut and dried as people think

Why not snuf?

Explains why we won all those flags.

Your quoting Ani DiFranco on Big Footy has finally completed the internet. Shoot down the satellites. We are done.

Yeah I know 😂😂😂 ... But what can I say? That woman can really fun(king write! Her ear for rhythm and metaphor is downright Dylan-esque, and it gets even better when spoken out loud:

"Just give up,
and admit you're an arseh*le.
You would be in some good company,
and I think you would find
your friends would forgive you
...or maybe I am just speaking for me."

Just wonderful (Chef's kiss!)

Anyhoo... That's my brief literary/musical interlude over with. 😂

We now return you to your regularly scheduled daily dose of random ranting, raving and rumor mongering, interspaced with occasional bitch-sessions & dick-jokes.

Go Freo!

Only one correction anchor man, Bo Allan isn't related to Ben Allan.

People keep talking about him because he is the top WA prospect this year and played for Peel so people got to watch him closer than other prospects.
OK , my mistake. I have watched him , but only on games on TV.
He looks like he could develop, but there could be a bunch the club would look at before him.I am guessing the club would be looking at positions other than mids.
