He's no Zach Merrett, but Matt Kennedy is 27 and has always been a very serviceable midfielder. I was hoping he'd get to us when he was delisted by the Giants. If we miss Macrae, Peatling etc, I wouldn't be mad about him. Has a different set of attributes to the rest of our mids; leg speed, overhead marking, and a bit more versatility. Surely nothing more than a third rounder

I 'm all for recruiting one useful midfielder but anymore will just hinder development of our young players - we need a good midfielder and I'm against plugging the hole with another average mid.
Phillipou showed enough to say he is going to become a player same goes with Windhager.
Wilson could even become a mid and with our first 2 draft picks we will surely get 2 more mids into the squad and who knows who else could spring up because Garcia has showed enough in his first year to suggest he could be a useful player.
Having Steele , Clark as our senior midfielders MaCrae would be a good pick up but really we don't need any more blue collar mids.
You can only play a certain number of Dows , Jones and Kennedys into a team

For someone who says you have a family connection to him i find it a tad strange that in over 1200 posts this is the first time you have ever mentioned his name

Would think that those who do have true family connections actually don't advertise it, or continually bring it up. It would possibly only come up in a high news event eg club captain wanting to leave the club. There are lots of people with family, or inlaw family, friendship, football connections and they don't bring it up here, as the know they would possibly fall out with that person if they were to become public with comments. I may, or may not, be able to attest to that (actually no connections at all, but loved that line).
