Mots has it in him, just needs the right mindset to do it on a consistent bases

As for the times he has recorded, like all players, it's clocked over a limited time and there are way more players that are quicker over 20 metres and repeat efforts

As a package, has plenty of xfactor, just needs to find consistency

Here's the link to the birds-eye view of training.

Some seriously quick ball movement in there.
That's Monahan at the 15 sec and 1.34 mark of the video...amazing stuff for a kid who's never even played the game.

And you gotta keep in mind he's only the same age as Binnsy and Cow, and slightly younger than Ollie and Lem - so basically on the same development pathway along with Billy, Ashton and the other Carroll.

From what I've seen so far though, I absolutely love the cut of his jib!!

Mots has talent in spades can’t afford to ride on it.He can do what few others can but needs to lose a bit of his laconic nature and narrow sharpen his focus to have week in week out constancy. The trading reports are promising but he needs to keep pushing his ceiling because it’s probably higher than he realizes. He has the tools to be a absolute weapon a clinical finisher from anywhere

With my eyesight I can barely make out that it’s the men’s team from that vision😃

Cripes. The kid is barely 20 and is training as hard as anyone. Great attitude and talent

Some of the comments on here are just ridiculous

North just had a live streamed intra-club. Are we doing anything similar before our first hit out against Geelong?
There's a balance between providing members with content and providing the opposition with insights into your game plan. Many clubs interrupt intra-clubs with coaching instruction which they would prefer to keep behind closed doors.
Not saying it's right ... but these issues are often discussed and tightly managed in club land.

Fair shout. And I guess we can make the most of having a ground which isn't open to the public like Arden St.

Every club knows another club's gameplan

What they aren't privy to, is tactics to reverse or maintain momentum

And no, no club has B,C, etc gameplans
so one gameplan, several contingency "please stop doing that or we shall be forced to adjust things!" plans?

Tactics have many contingencies

Available personal, in-game injuries, weather, scoreboard, time, etc

That last play where Weitering took that mark from a Viney kick

Viney's option was poor for a side leading late in the game

The Weitering chain, far too risky if leading, but when behind, you need to take the game on

message begins - whatever "game-plan" we are training this off season, please let it include whatever it will take to stop that brisbane "turn-around onslaught" after halftime in the pf - can we train to stop the run-ons, consolidate and return to our own structures, please? I saw it coming but was gutted when it did regardless - message ends

Maybe they dont call it B and C gameplans, but by having a predefined strategy for what to do in different scenarios IS a gameplan, it just might be called something else. Otherwise, why hold up stupid signboards from the boundary line at various times throughout games if they dont actually mean something to the players? "Take the game on" when you are a goal down with 2 mins to go is a gameplan. "Ice the game" when you are 7 points up with 2 mins to play is a gameplan. But I get you mean set plays within a gameplan that you think can give you an advantage? I think i'd just call that a tactic within the gameplan you are currently executing. Its just great the boys actually seems to be exectuting gameplans better than we have in the past. The synergy between all facits of the club is as strong as it has ever been. Can't wait for the 2024 ride!

I’m sorry… but I don’t know what passage of play you are talking about

😉

Durdin is quick, Motlop is definitely not at that level...
So what is Motlop then?

And no, he is not fast, fast is your top speed which Harry is, and quick is your acceleration of the mark.
As if Russell was going to say he is a medium-high speed athlete as it doesn't sound great or roll off the tongue even if it is closer to the truth.....

Motlop recorded the greatest speed during matches for Carlton, last season.

Pure rush of blood from Viney. He'd take that kick back everyday.

That's why having good users under immense pressure is the key.

Not really sure where to post but I watched the Pies intra club and gee they looked a bit ordinary imo. Daicos was on the losing team and couldn't get near it on ball for most of the game, was quite funny to watch him skirt the contest but never have it fed to him.

Fin Macrae looked good along with a mature age kid from the Doggies Lachie Sullivan but if thats who they're expecting to step up vs the best mids in the comp I'd be concerned. Overall skill was a bit meh and there was a heap of failed show pony rubbish, look away handballs and over the back of their heads etc.

Reckon they are a red hot chance of finishing 6-8. Their tall stocks are very very thin.

I think it was more a poor decision to put it on the boot on his wrong side, should have given the handball to Petracca

Even long up the line for a deliberate call, so they could set up better

Unusual for a senior player, but pressure does that I guess
