Unfortunately a lot of our better reserves players caught out trying to do too much
An extremely poor performance today

Brutal from JL. Had to have a shot.
Our forwards were terrible. Should be leading closer to goal and all they want to do is engage in wrestling. They can’t take a contested mark today yet still keep doing it.Bad kicking for goal is bad football.
Perfect conditions, other team kicks 12.4. .9-21-75 WTF.
I didn't watch a lot of the game but yer I noticed Dev a couple of times trying to take on 2 or more consecutive tackles, might be trying too hard to get back into seniors by wanting to standout in VFL when he should be just playing team first footy.I think Dev and Tunstill need to stop trying to play like Ablett and Judd and just do the team thing
Lyons is generally considered to have a very sharp footy brain.Senior player had a chance to either win or draw the game and decides no.
I will kick to the top of the square so it is someone else problem.

I have no doubt about that.Lyons is generally considered to have a very sharp footy brain.
I’m still baffled why late against the Blues we also didn’t try getting the ball thru for a point when it was deep.Senior player had a chance to either win or draw the game and decides no.

Ryan was the only one who kicked more goals than behinds, and even he went 3.2.
I missed the game, did anyone look good enough to make the seniors?
He was being held out of the ruck because he's still been growing all this time, and the club didn't want to subject him to injury and damage while his body was still not fully finished. He’s close but maybe next year more realistic. I would say the areas to work on would be his tank, competitiveness in the ruck and then follow up stuff. He hasn’t rucked a lot in the past. Seemed to have been pigeon holed into forward position but this year he’s definitely getting more ruck minutes and seems to be doing well.
One more preseason I reckonCould be the beginning of Smith applying pressure on Oscar for the number one ruck mantle? Fourth year in the system so has had plenty of time - although i can't pretend to have been watching him closely - what do others think about how ready he would be?
