Didn’t see it but what was cleary’s injury or was he taken off for the seniors?

Missed Khamis in defence to at least give a taller opponent and a marking forward option that could at least threaten like Bedendo. Then had to reshuffle after losing Cleary in the first quarter so Bianco had to go to defence and at this point we're running out of players.

Really needed to move Croft further up the ground to get involved today, only the one touch following his behind and no marks. Could not have accomplished less against their defenders

Far too many hopeful bombs into the f50. Being picked off at will by the Brisbane talls.

We need Matt Spangher down there to show them how to set up a smooth functioning forward line.

I shudder to think how we'd have gone if we'd picked him in the seniors this week as several were suggesting.

The biggest problem is that one of our other tall options got taken out pretty early with a hamstring so we lost an additional marking target.

So we won the last three quarters by 5 points. Not bad with zero (?) players left on the bench.

Just a shame we started the game so poorly.

Considering the make-up of the team that was a very spirited display. Never gave up and with a bit cleaner disposal in the last they might have got even closer.
Of the listed players:
Baker kept running all day and provided a lot of drive from both wing and defence.
Scott was very good around the ball, particularly for the first 3 quarters.
Poulter did well notwithstanding some scrappy disposal.
Jones and Clarke were largely unsighted for three quarters but both were creative in the last.
Busslinger had 27 disposals and won plenty of the ball when not required to stand the 3 Brisbane giants.
Croft had a day he'd rather forget, just couldn't clunk a mark.
Rypstra had 6 touches and looked OK with ball in hand. Tough initiation against a good team.
Craig-Peters our best as usual.

Some of the more notable stats - mostly good, but a few not so good:

:thumbsu: Orgill 12 Tackles (next best were Willoughby and CCP with 7)
:thumbsu: Craig-Peters with 15 Clearances (next was Willoughby with 4!)
:thumbsu: Craig-Peters with 7 frees (we ended up with 27-18 in the FK count)
:thumbsu: Busslinger with 14 Intercepts (next best was 7)
:thumbsu: Clarke had a quiet day but topped the Tackles i50 count with 3
:thumbsu: Craig-Peters (again) with an astonishing 27 CPs (7 UPs)

:( Croft with 2 disposals (1 K, 1 HB)
:( Cleary and A Jones with 0 tackles (Gilbee as well) I realise Cleary was injured half way through
:( Rypstra with 6 disposals (5 K, 1 HB) at 33.3% DE. Only 1 tackle. It would have been a tough initiation for the kid, having just flown in this week. I'm sure he'll improve with time. One of his two effective disposals was a goal which is something.

Once again, CCP was the absolute standout. We might have missed a trick in the MSD. :(

We can easily pick him up in the draft at the end of the year
But IINM we don't have exclusive access any more. So every other club will be sniffing around him as well.

Four changes have been made to Footscray’s Round 12 side ahead of Saturday morning’s clash with Sydney at Mission Whitten Oval.

Riley Garcia and Lachie McNeil return from an AFL perspective, while Connor Smith and Cameron Owen have also been included.

The match will mark Owen’s red, white and blue VFL debut.
Anthony Scott comes out of the side after being named in the senior team, while Luke Cleary (concussion), Jordan Croft (concussion) and Chan Hargraves (groin) will miss through injury.

AFL mid-season draftee Kelsey Rypstra will play again, wearing the #41, as one of nine senior-listed Bulldogs.
The first bounce will be at 11.05am at Mission Whitten Oval tomorrow morning, ahead of the AFL battle at Marvel Stadium against Fremantle at 1.45pm.

Another week and it'll be a miracle if we have any AFL listed players out there
We still have nine of them running around. Teams like Carlton and Richmond have had 4 or 6 or even less at times this season.
