We have smashed Port at th G, so watch the afl schedule that for Docklands.

I don't think we get GWS as a double up.

I think that one’s already confirmed for the MCG in rd 1.

GWS is interesting, it’s stupid we never played them at all during the regular season this year so be surprised if they did it again.

Collingwood’s double ups next season- Sydney (Both away), Brisbane, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn, GWS, Geelong.
Zero Chance.

We are not doubling up on ALL Top 6 sides

I'd presume it'll be.

Port Adelaide 2x, Sydney 2x, Carlton 2x, Essendon 2x, Western Bulldogs 2x and North Melbourne 2x

You’re dreaming if you think that’s the case, we’ll go from the hardest opening 7 weeks to the softest draw? Plus h there is zero chance of us not playing Hawthorn or Brisbane twice.

We beat the premiers twice last year. They're the benchmark. I'm not worried about who or where we play. If we want to be the best, we have to beat the best.

We had a shocker against the Roo's last year until our miraculous comeback. And a draw & a loss against the Bombers.
We actually went 7-1 against 2023 top six sides last year. It was the rest of the comp we played like absolute ****ing donkeys against. :(

Last year:

3 of our double ups were against previous year's top 6 - we won 6 from 6.
2 against previous year's middle six - we had one draw from 4 games.
1 double up against a bottom six team - we won one and lost one.

That’s only for the 5 games as the Gather round is exempt from that rule . We are playing Swans in the Gather round so it could be actually 3.

As always the AFL can change things without any notice but they already tweaked the rule to take into account Gather Round and according to their guidelines for the 2023 fixture it's a maximum of 2 top 6 teams for us next year.

GWS, Sydney, Dogs and Hawks we didn't beat or struggled to beat last season?

So if they are the double ups then yes I am concerned.
I'd love the opportunity to get two chances against any of them. If any of those teams are going to be in the finals, we need to find ways to beat them.

We had a close loss against Swans & beat Hawks once last year.

The Hawks belted us by ten goals?

So we play Brisbane, Hawthorn, Carlton, Fremantle, Melbourne and Adelaide twice.
Surprise, surprise that the AFL love child in Carlton get West Coast and North twice.

Would be interested to know how often we’ve doubled up against bottom three sides in recent history. Can’t imagine it’s often.
