However, there is/was a rule that you can only have one Irish Rookie B on your list and any others have to be Rookie A.

This had been removed from the most recent version of the rules which we were looking at before they were first due to come out

I think they've removed 'Irish' altogether from the rules, and replaced it with 'International'.

Most likely 4, but it depends on whether Lucas gets a bid in the ND.

Thats my view also. A fitter healthier version 2.0 that has now had s couple of years in the system. Feel a breakout coming on!

Except he keeps having the same two injuries... so not promising for his chances and mobility.

I for one could not be happier with our trades and delisting's to date.

We had to move on all the injury prone boys. Enough was enough.

Using Owies to help secure pick 3 is GOLD! This could be a very pivotal moment for us.

Now we need to nail the pick.

Carroll was a bit of a surprise but Lord looks REAL GOOD IMO so he would have struggled again to play week in week out.

Only one a little disappointed with is Kennedy. I hate losing good players, particularly ones that are heart and soul like BAM BAM but SPEED is what we NEED!

I’d be pretty shocked if we add more than 4 to the Senior List (all in the ND) then probably 1-2 in the Rookie Draft, leaving 1-2 spots open for SSP.

Every year i get seduced and i want to add experienced players to the rookie list that have been cut at other clubs, then every year other clubs get a steal in the rookie draft and i look back and wish we took more kids.

As long as we take 1-2 kids in the rookie draft, ill be happy.

100%. rookie draft should be Kids or VFL 'late blooming' players. Anyone already on an AFL list should not be allowed to be rookie listed. They should bring back 1 spot for 'Veterans' who the club want to pay peanuts for and the player is happy to accept.

Rookie list/draft shouldn't exist. Get rid of it and just allow 1 yr contracts for players drafted from the 5th round onwards. If you want to only give a kid 1yrs you may have to sit the forth round out.

I think you are better getting rookies to train on and work it out from there once you have had a good look at them.

Agree, but it should be the 4th round onwards for 1 year contracts.

1st round - 3 years
2nd & 3rd rounds - 2 years
4th on - 1 year

Last year was abnormal with special access picks, and then a huge number of compo, F/S and academy picks, stretching the 1st round to 29.

But with the change of values, 4th round picks no longer having any DVI points, I think it makes sense to have the delineation there.
