I'm doubling down Vossy!

Out: Young, Docherty, Lord, Haynes, Cowan
In: White, Carroll, Boyd, Moir, McKay

Boyd Weitering O Hollands
McGovern Silvagni Saad
L Camporeale Cripps Acres
Fogarty Curnow Motlop
Kemp McKay White
De Koning Hewett Cerra

Walsh Carroll Cottrell Williams

Sub: Moir

Fogarty and Acres can think themselves lucky. L Campo struggled this week but always tries. Cowan is a good player, but not in a slow back half. He had a stinker.

White is quick. We get burned by speed every week. Then we play a tall side in the wet.

The bleedingly obvious to me would be McKay forward, Kemp to the backline and Haynes out.

From there I can't see much benefit. Maybe rest Campo and trial someone else if they have a good reserves game.

We should probably try at least one match with both Charlie and Harry up forward before totally cleaning house.

All with their own concerns about them/injured.

Fitness of the list is poor again.

WTF has become of Lachie Cowan..?

With Lachie, he is a medium defender who lacks pace, but has mongrel and a good kick, if he can ever find the space to use it. He suffers when there is a lack of system and pace around him. He has to match up on players who are quicker than him. He would be better in a quicker, more skilled side who can allow him to use his attributes.

I wish him well in Tassie, if he knows what's good for him.

There's no point listing 3-4 changes...

We all know Vossy aint' doing that...

It'll be another "good job boys, unlucky"

1 change MAX (apart from any forced changes)

Having said that... we SHOULD beat this Dogs side...

I'm through predicting what Voss will do. He is as conservative as they come. If we beat the Dogs with this team, Voss will cement their spots for another 4 losses.

OUT: Young, Haynes, Lord
IN: McKay, Carroll, Wilson

FB:
Cowan Silvagni McGovern
HB: O.Hollands Weitering Saad
C: Acres Cerra Walsh
HF: Kemp McKay Motlop
FF: Cottrell Curnow Williams

INT: Wilson (wing/def), Docherty (def/mid), Fogarty (wing/HF), Carroll (def)

SUB: L.Camporeale (to rest)

Lucas needs a bit of a rest after going flat out for a couple of games, but his output is generally working up from a decent standard. Lord is just not having an impact despite being clean with the ball, so he need minutes in the VFL to really work on getting his mobility and contest work up to a much better standard.

Walsh has to play more outside: he is getting absolutely crunched, and it's absurd to think he's going to suddenly morph into some stoppage mastermind. It's not his thing, let's go back to his natural skill set.

Young wasn't terrible intercepting, but was woeful in contests, and Haynes was similar. Let's move back to mobility paired with foot skills creating some pressure to impact kicks coming into our 50, as well as creating options to move the ball faster towards our 50.

It's time to roll the dice with Wilson - ideally as a wing rotation - and let's also encourage Kemp to get up the ground more and provide a link. Fogarty needs to get into the game more, and with more mobility around him perhaps our contested types won't be so blinkered and belligerent about where they're looking to connect by hand.

How you rating hollands and Cowan at present
Don't like Ollie at HB, the role of distributor/rebounder requires way more speed and and better footskills, which he lacks, prefer him as a wing rotation. Tried hard, did reasonably well on Moore

Cowan will be fine, his balance between when to go or hold is improving, but needs more composure to release to the outside instead of hack kicks to clear D50
