So for my first bench player, Collingwood are selecting with pick #320 'The Pink Pig' - Cameron Ling.

Triple premiership player, premiership captain in 2011, club best and fairest, All-Australian and great mates with our Captain Jono Brown, who can lock down the opposition's best midfielder, find the ball himself, and push forward for the odd goal when required.

Ling will be a great fit at Collingwood for the next 15 years.

Well now this is just being unnecessarily salty.

Plenty of great players have been stuck with poor sides. I'd say Merrett has been one of the unluckiest as far as where his talent ended up.

Freo have had many champions not win a premiership, through no fault of their own. James Kelly wasn't a better player than Zach Merrett is now by virtue of his 3 premierships.

Your question was rhetorical so there's no point listing his accolades unless you legitimately are unaware.
