Justin Charles loaded up on PED’s and got less.

This comp is cooked.
Mate, we don't know what he did or when he did it.

Imagine if after last year and all the shit that happened if he then went on to explicitly threaten to X, Y, Z using every slur under the sun while high on ice (that he kindly mentioned he was taking in 200 messages over the course of their relationship, oh and the rabbit died because he let it have some). Or he might have just called her a bitch in a back and forth, and told her to pick her stuff up herself. IDK. Point is there is zero comparison we can make right now.

On a side note thank **** this is supposedly all coming to ahead tomorrow (please don't say I misread that!!!). My luscious locks are at serious risk of never growing back what with all the hair pulling I have been doing reading this forum recently.

It may never be over.

Time is a flat circle.

Has spent most of his career not taking responsibility and selfishly thinking about no one but himself and it's seemingly caught up with him.

It's a shame for our football club but it's an even bigger shame for him.

I genuinely hope he gets his life together and makes something of his career even if it's elsewhere. While that would be a kick in the guts for us, it is a beautiful thing to see someone grow from their mistakes and mature into a person of integrity and character.
This is just about the best post I have read on the Tarryn thread for quite a while and sums up my feelings on the matter! 50% for the public hanging and 50% to wait and see and give him one last chance, he has so much ability its not funny and whether its sport or in general life or even relationships, you get so many chances before you can't go past "GO" any more and the game is over.

I will back the club in whatever decision they make because we now have very smart and good people at our club finally, so as far as I know the club has not said to Tarryn this is your "last chance" at all {I could be wrong about this}, now whether he gets told this at some stage of the future is a discussion between the club and Tarryn and it will not be a quick decision either way.

What did I miss here? Lol
Someone in his family(?) bought him a rabbit as a present last Christmas (some people say to teach him to care about something other than himself). Rabbit died within months.

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd fears troubled North Melbourne star Tarryn Thomas will be “one of the most wasted talents we’ve ever seen” in footy as a huge suspension looms.

The Kangaroos player is being investigated by the AFL Integrity Unit for another set of allegations of inappropriate off-field behaviour made by a woman.

While Nine reported the AFL Commission has handed down an 18-week suspension for Thomas, which would be one of the longest in modern footy history, other outlets said the length of the ban - while expected to encompass at least half a season - has not yet been cemented. An AFL spokesperson told Foxfooty.com.au the investigation was ongoing.

Whatever the punishment, Thomas is out of contract at the end of 2024 and despite his talent would seem unlikely to continue his AFL career, given he has already been handed several chances by the Kangaroos for previous incidents including accusations of “serious and confronting” threats of violence towards women.

Pointing to the troubled career of the former No.2 pick who battled injuries and off-field concerns through an 88-game career, Lloyd said on 3AW: “I put him in the Harley Bennell bracket.

“He’ll (Thomas) be lost to football. He’ll be one of the most wasted talents that we’ve ever seen in the game.”

Lloyd revealed he had spent the day at Arden Street as part of an off-the-record media session with Kangaroos officials.

Tarryn Thomas was asked (about) and you could sense the way they were talking that it had been a draining issue for them,” he said.

“It’s been left in the hands of the AFL; they were expecting to hear three weeks ago what was going to be happening.

“I remember John Quinn, our long-time fitness coach at the Bombers, said there was one particular player that he said I spent 90 per cent of my time dealing with his issues and his matters as a head of strength and conditioning coach. So for 40 other players, who are doing all the right things, I’m spending 10% of my time on them.

“I raised this with North, it was just a candid chat, and I could see a few nods saying yep, I can understand what you’re saying because that’s been Tarryn Thomas. We’re forever being sidetracked by issues when we want to put all our energies into getting ourselves back on our feet as a football club, yet we’re constantly dealing with off-field matters with Tarryn Thomas.”

Thomas has played 69 AFL matches since being taken with the No.8 pick in the 2018 draft.

Nothing strange about that, I bought my kids a rabbit they named it Strawberry 6mths later the rabbit disappeared but the kids enjoyed the ‘strawberry’ pie we had for tea that night. 😀

The "Thomas is becoming a distraction" line is a common assertion, but I don't believe it for a moment.

There is a reason clubs don't recruit 'bad boys' or people who interview poorly, regardless how gifted they are. When clubs take a punt on a "problem" player, they invest a lot of resources to micromanage that problem player... ie Martin was staying with the coach so he could control him outside of football. It is an easier thing to do when you have a mature group and you have the time/resources to focus on that player.

Supporters are fixated on it. The media are obsessed with it. But I am certain the playing group and coaches are not.

Supporters are fixated on it like drivers are to a car crash they drive by. Do the players or coaches care? How would I know?

People who do care are sponsors and advertisers, they don't care if someone is a mass murderer as long as it is not on TV with their logos on the perp.

Shit rolls down hill, if they care then it hits the president and the CEO, then that shit rolls to the head of the football department and that shit rolls to the head coach and if he can't keep his players in check they are out the door. It just comes down to how much talent the player has and the tolerance everyone has in dealing with the shit rolling in on top of them. If this isn't the final straw, it is getting close to being it.

Charlie Lazzaro isn't running around at the intra-club game thinking about TT.

Will Phillips isn't struggling to train because he can't get TT out of his mind.

Tom Powell isn't distracted from his preparation for the preseason hit-out with Collingwood by worries about TT.

So you don't think teenagers are young and impressionable? Do you want to put your teenage boy into a school that is overrun with drugs and gang members and think that isn't going to influence their behaviour? It is why AFL clubs recruit private school choir boys. What do you think their family tells them, their manager, opposition clubs? You don't want to have a bad culture, it impacts your ability to hold players and recruit new ones.

We were literally arse cancer as a club before Clarko got here, it doesn't mean we will get rid of anyone who gets into trouble, but there are limits to what any club can tolerate. TT is testing what those limits are.

For the first time in years we have genuine competition for spots. The playing group are worrying about putting their best foot forward, not about the welfare of TT.

And why do you think the club told TT to go away and not train with the rest of the group?

And as for the coaching group, they've been planning 2024 as if TT is not around. Trust me, they're assuming no TT. And if it turns out that we have him, well then that's a bonus.

TT is a lot of things, but he's not a distraction to anyone but those outside the club.

How would you know? Lloyd has said he has talked to the club and has been told the complete opposite. Maybe he got it wrong, maybe his comprehension of what the club said was as bad as his understanding of the term "off the records". Who knows? I don't know. I just wont be surprised if he is or isn't here next year.
