I thought it was doing a 'stevo'....

I think that if he sees himself playing one more season after next year he will give it up at the end that season. I reckon he'd like to at least have one year playing with the new captain to teach him some stuff.
hey I love the Boom but it shouldn't be his decision we do need to have the future plan set.
Who should it be and how long we expect it to be them.
I also belive we should be setting it up as long term not a year by year basis
Maybe offer Boom an extension if he stands down to ensure we have a long transition or name the next captain as co Captain this year
I have sneaky feeling that Brad has chatted with him about it, and I doubt Boomer told him how it is.hey I love the Boom but it shouldn't be his decision we do need to have the future plan set.

Pretty confident we have our future plan completely mapped out. I don’t think we need to worry about having Boomer around for a year to hold this someone’s hand.
Couldn't have said it better myselfI feel the captaincy titled is pretty overrated. Similar to the 'head coach' role. It is all about the supporting cast. Mick Malthouse is obviously a very good coach, but look at all the support and resources at his disposal? Same thing with captaincy.
With strong leaders at the club to support Boomer like Drew, Swallow, Ziebell, Wells... does it really matter who gets the gig? It should be Boomer's decision and for mine, he can have it as long as he wants it.

I agree. But who am I agreeing with? YOTR or Northworth?
