Hahaha! It was a geelong supporter.

Look, the point is, Geelong beat Melbourne we lost to Melbourne, We beat Carlton Geelong lost to Carlton, we beat St Kilda Geelong lost to St Kilda.

This game can be played all day. It doesn't make any sense. The person wasn't trying to indicate anything with his question, he was trolling. Troll on his own board, where I won't be infected, come into our house and troll, and I'll grab the cricket bat from under the bed. It's an internet forum, my students are well nurtured, but then they don't try and walk into other classrooms and troll them during lessons.

On another note, Mensa isn't that elite. They take anyone in the 98th percentile. That means one in every 50 people in the street you walk past is a Mensa candidate. Hardly noteworthy.
Depends which street you are walking down

There was a guy wearing number 7 a few years back that was a handy big game player.
Also, numbers 7 and 23 from the 1980's were a little above average in their 5 premierships!

Incidentally, I didn't see Chapman in the 2008 Grand Final.
Guys I must be a good 5+ years younger than you, started watching footy in the early/mid 90s. Yeah, chapman was awful in '08 but so was mitchell in the same game and hodge had a stinker in 2012.
Can't believe people don't rate chapman, he tore us to shreds numerous times.

Over recent years, the most alarming advantage that Geelong has had over Hawthorn is contested marking, largely because of Hawthorn's weakness in this area. This advantage has been evident in defense, in transition and in attack. There has been a lot of discussion in this thread, recommending that we don't bomb it in to our attacking 50; I would add that if we do, it should be close to the boundary so that we can seek to punch the ball over the boundary, to get our smalls involved at the throw in. In transition, its hard for us to defend, making it hard for us to prevent their delivery to their forwards, but in offense our runners and precision kicking are a strategic response to this weakness. In defense we have repeatedly been killed by their talls, and we responded with Lake whose reading and marking were strong; this year we need to do something else, either Brand to take their rucks drifting forward or Litherland to drop in front of leading forwards (used to effect against Franklin).

So let me get this straight. You don't know anything, cannot think, and have lost all ability to reason. Would this be accurate?

Just interested to know why Melbourne beat you by 5 goals given your guys had a fair bit riding on the game to secure a top spot.

You were smashed in the last quarter and many of your veterans seemed to be running on the spot.

Given the Cats run out games very well it might not bode well for you next Friday night.

He did say "one of".

Could have been more a comment on where the bar for big Game players should be set

If youre going to troll you could at least be entertaining about it. Fourth quarters are our strongest over the year as well.

The AFL makes some dumb decisions but this has to be right up there with the worst of them.
Yeh im kinda half half on this.
Dont like the week off and the wait, but on the other hand if it helps rest older bodies, niggles and freshens the boys up its in our favour.

if we didn't run out games well we would not be in the top 4 so there is that point gone. geelong lost to carl, coll and stk its a new season now, don't be looking in the past

Well we will use it to our advantage no doubt but overall it's a stupid decision. Effectively takes away the advantage you receive from finishing in the top four.

And if you do, look at the last three seasons.

This is a piss poor attempt at a subtle troll.

I hope I'm shown the same leniency when I venture over to your board to discuss how Geelong lost to a team that was beaten by Melbourne a month prior.

See, it's a bit like you guys getting pummuled at home to Sydney who lost to Hawthorn the week after at their home ground. Figure it out, dont fight it.

Lost to Melbourne on purpose, just to watch you tossers pump up your tyres to unbelievable levels. If you lose on Friday (and I'm betting the thought never actually crossed your mind) I'm betting the tears may almost reach 2008 levels.

We sort of should be grateful. BB & Junior Boy probably wouldn't have played this weekend. Schoe didn't train today & only did bike work, & a couple of others were on light duties. Spangher was nowhere to be seen .. so I am tipping we could have had huge problems with the availability of our talls.
