It seems to the T20 tradition if you open with a spinner its only for one over, I suppose they dont want to waste the new ball when they have a couple of quick bowlers but still

Everyone knows Johnson first up after a spell is a disaster. Best to get it out of the way in a couple of games nobody will remember in 3 months time.
