So apparently I’m not allowed to voice my opinion about Smith and his body language. Other players do it in the change rooms he does it while the camera is on him but ok. I see every second post saying that he’s cooked he needs to retire etc but when I mentioned body language that’s a crime to all the BF campaigners.

You can say whatever you like. Yet that doesn’t somehow innoculate you against being called out on it, and make you immune to justifiable criticism for a dumb post. If you can’t handle that, then maybe you’re in the wrong thread

In the quote I referred to you mentioned nothing about body language. You said he was crying, and was the biggest sook and bad sport you’d seen represent the country. Don’t hide behind a later post to cover up the absolute shit you posted prior.

I love Smith but the end is rapidly approaching. I still think he’s too good to not make a big score around the corner. Has just had those kind of dismissals we saw when Ponting was near the end. Personally I feel he deserves more time to turn it around as he’s held up this batting order the past decade basically by himself.

Grrr our batting order just feels like it’s playing homage to great bats of prior years, than actually planning for the here and now.

We did it with Warner where we gave him a send off tour, and just feel we need to be more ruthless at selection.

AFL teams don’t cast a second gaze if you fall off form and will cull you quick if you’re not performing. How is cricket exempt from this?

Or they will find another role for you that you can actually perform - and they tried that with Smith and with one exception (the Brisbane second innings) it didn’t work.

I’m more worried about the Ashes.

England are rebuilding their squad and blooding youth now into their team. Whereas we look like we’re hanging onto a LOT of older players and hoping they keep playing like they have in the past, despite the numbers clearly showing otherwise.

Unless we starting planning a future without some of the older players, the next Ashes will be a slaughter - and not by us.

Decision should be made now that this is Ussies last series ..bring in Konstas for Sydney....even earlier doesn't bother me
