Ben King:

  • Had 12 possessions, 1 mark and no goals in his first two practice matches ever.
  • Kicked only one goal and averaged 6 possessions in his first 3 regular season matches at senior level.
  • Went goalless in 6 of the 14 regular season matches he played at senior level in his first season.

Well crikey, it is time for Charlie's third game in the big leagues, who remembers his first?

Super excited to see him against to be blunt an average opponent.
These are the games we hope that he gets a little bit of confidence.
Which option out of McGovern or Barrass do you consider easy?

Pass mark:

4 quarters, no injuries
A few involvements, couple of positive signs

Everyone (including me) probably need to temper expectations and get this guy to the 10-15 game region to offset his appalling run of games since his underage year.

After he's in the routine of senior football we can look closer at his performances.

Wash your mouth out KC.

six goals, 12 marks, 14 disposals, 7 tackles and on report for unduly rough play and that will do me.

He will find the going much easier tomorrow than he did against western

Just you wait and see.
Agree.

I haven't overly rated the Dogs for quite a few years, they've looked like a team that got their premiership and thought it would just happen again on talent and the lifting capability of media hot air. They look hungry and organised. I think they'll start the year pretty strongly.

If he gets McGovern, which I think he might, he can cause some problems. Barrass will likely blanket Larks and make life very difficult but McGovern doesn't like having to go with a man. Big opportunity for Charlie here
Yep needs to get on his bike to at least drag his opponent out of the hot spot.
He stands there and then tries to take contested marks -we’ll be in big trouble

What's his job security like do you guys reckon, will Clarko give him a string of games?

Asking for a friend (supercoach)

As he has taken over from Maj as my pet project player. I tend to enquire a bit about our Charlie, is internally rated highly and I feel he will be given a string of games should he remain fit.

Also CCJ is out injured so that also helps his cause.

Appreciate it. CCJ foot injury length is still TBC?

Lead hard at the footy Charlie
This is it. v the bullies he seemed to back into a body on body contest repeatedly, part of that might be delivery but if the kicks could just be to his advantage, he could crash a pack with momentum
