We seem to be have a propensity to not pick young key forwards since the Carey saga.

As much as the club wants to, we can’t rely on Charlie to get over his injury issues. We need at least 1 more young key forward in this draft. Either at the top end or a project type.

Van Rooyen would've been better for us given the way he clunks them. Makes it especially weird since we knew we were taking Phillips early, JVR was available at our second.

IMO we drafted Drew as ruckman and then got lucky that he could play forward.

8-10 weeks is an extremely good result considering the initial response. I thought it was a leg break resulting in 12 months.

I was of the opinion last year we need to save Charlie from himself, I think this has reenforced my opinion.
I don’t think he’ll be able to play full time forward until his body matures, and if he keeps getting injuries it never will, I think he should be playing back, less stress on the body.
Let him team up with Logue and give him a good run at it.
