It just occurred to me Charlie is a giant Taylor Garner.

The move back isn't terrible but with Biggie and Pink, I hope that they get the opportunity to prove themselves and leave open the possibility of Charlie moving forward.
I think pink is just break glass in case of emergency and will just be vfl unless we get an injury to comben or corr

Biggie has upside and could be that athletic intercepting third tall

Happy with Comben being our McKay replacement

B: Nyuon Corr McDonald
HB: Sheezel Comben Fisher

Goater rotating off the bench

Logue to come back mid year to push corr to third tall

Up the other end it’s CCJ vs Finnbar for the CHF/resting ruck spot

I'd replace Nyuon with Kal Dawson.

It all comes down to not giving up 65 to 70 inside 50's a game, if we can do that I think we have the cattle to do a job.

The constant unpressured turnovers between the centre and HB lines need to be significantly reduced.

Not ecstatic about the move back given our tall deficiencies up forward and CCJ’s concussion worries. However, spending 12 months learning how defenders play has some development benefits.

Still a natural chf for mine.

underselling Pink.

Pink’s form in the state leagues is far superior to Biggie. Pink is a more natural defender and is already accomplished as an interceptor.

Biggie has stacks of upside because of his athleticism but he has a long way to go and seems to drift in and out of games.

It can only be about getting games into him.

I know we have plenty of options up forward to help Larkey, and don’t pick up any tall defenders with McKay leaving but………

Oh wait, I got that around the wrong way.

Pink's skills/talent as a defender >>>>>>>> Comben's.

I think big Chom was equality as ecstatic about being tried in defence:tearsofjoy:

If we thought Robbie was a gun backman. This guy will be 1.5 times the player of Robbie as a defender (if he stays injury free) his aggression in the contest is palpable, you can feel that white line fever plus he was a good forward which as the great 75%’r suggests.. he’ll be a ****ing Brilliant Key Position Defender

In typical NMFC fashion, what was initially suspected of being a 10-12 week injury turns into 7 months.
Whats the point when you should have had the number one pick? Season was cooked. There is absolutely no point. We should have put more players on the extended injury list, we should have forfeited the last game because everyone risked long term injuries and concussion issues.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you've got the status of both players flipped upside down with Pink starting Rd 1 and Biggie needing to show more than he has in the Tigers VFL.

Biggie will be lucky to play 5 games before being delisted. Nothing there for me. Its a blind shot at the dart board from 80 metres out, a hail mary shot. All he is, from Norths perspective is last minute cover. And that is it.

Also, Chom can be a pretty intimidating bugger.

It won't take long for key forwards to start second guessing about whether they're going to find themselves at the wrong end of one of his sudden bone-crunchers.

Oh yeh, he doesn’t mind a sneako cheap one to the ribs! He has a little old school dirtyness about him which I love.

Don't mind this.

Definitely feels like the Tarrant move but Tarrant was a full back in his junior years.

He'll have concrete hands during the start of the year but he will adjust pretty quickly. Bit like Tarrant did. Went from slipping them to clunking them like a behemoth.

Any particular reason you're confident Pink gets selected before Dawson mate?
Just on his role at training. Also I don't reckon they've signed the best KPD in the SANFL to come here and play 2's.

How well he goes and how long he lasts is anyone's guess.
