Still really enjoying his competitiveness. When he missed a contested mark then lined up the oppo crumber for a hard tackle in the last and the coment was "he likes that" i was saying the same thing. Would be very encouraging to see him get an uncontested mark in our f50 soon. Whats going on, is there something wrong with his leading, our kickers, not giving him space to lead into, etc etc?

In Comben we trust, particularly if the Artist is out injured next week

It frequently looked like he was double handedly tapping them down rather than trying to outright mark. Wasn't sure what to make of it. Fourth for score involvements is pretty grouse.

Of course we want to see Charlie marking and kicking goals but what has been really positive this year so far is that when both Larkey and Comben are forward and Zurhaar is lurking, there have been very few opposition intercept marks in our forward 50. This has not been the case since about 2017.

Yes well had a quiet game. I think this will do him the world of good. He was too stagnate and really was easy to spoil.

Getting in early to say that Comben is the best type of forward. Always involved and helping the team even when he’s not scoring goals.

He made Philips goal with the diving pressure tackle after the strong contest.

Yep. Obvs need him to hit the scoreboard at some point but if he does that whilst doing all these one percenters and pitch hitting in the ruck, he’ll be so valuable.
