Lets keep in mind where the expectations have come from.

1. Drafted as an injured "would've gone top 10-15 if he wasn't" mercurial medium forward - which we love at North.

2. After an all-time-great first season from Sheezel, and Wardlaw showing incredible signs while being managed through his hamstring/endurance issues, Viney at the Q&A said "we've got Brayden yet to come in who is internally rated as highly as those two while he might be the best of the lot".

Hyperbole notwithstanding, the excitement to get him healthy and playing in his preferred position is well deserved, imo.

Coaches should set a goal for him - we want to see you in the last 4 games of the year. Stick it on his locker door. Richmond/Eagles/Doggies/Hawks. Aside from the Hawks, all those sides will have their eye on Mad Monday celebrations and their end of season trip. A chance to play with slightly less pressure and build some confidence for 2025. Let’s hope the hype is ripe come August, and we all say it been worth the wait.
