The only thing keeping Jack in right now is his kicking. In general, it’s been excellent this season. However, it’s dropped off a bit recently and I reckon that’s why he’s in the gun on here. Corr, McKay, LMac and Logue can’t distribute the ball like Jack. I get the feeling, if Jack’s not there, then Hall has to come in. It appears to be where we’re at right now. One other option is to get Harry to play that role permanently. However, we can all agree, that’s not ideal. In the future, maybe, Goater or Bergman might be a solution. However, as we stand, in my view, the following players are the only guys with genuine penetration in their kicking - at this time:-

Jack (flaky)
Hall (flakier)
Harry (preferred further up the ground)
Tarryn (preferred further up the ground)

Both Jack and Hall can accumulate possessions too, which is a requirement. Not ideal - it’s an area we need to address at the end of the season.

i think perez should be brought in for ziebell for this exact reason

can accumulate and kicks well, actually defends also

Actually, I was going to include Flynn as well. Hopefully, things start to click for him. It just hasn’t seemed to fall in place for him over the past two years. He’s become a bit of a “forgotten” player, as a result.

Undoubtedly a bad trade that's returned nothing on our investment.

I thought he his first half was good.
Technically wasn’t a trade
Was a free agent acquisition so we gave up nothing but cap space which we were struggling to fill anyway

I remember getting torn to shreds at the start of last year when I said he was playing poor, selfish football.

Nothing has changed. He doesn't lock down on his opponents and he doesn't provide any rebound.

Such a nothing player who was made to look good with talented players like Davis, Taylor and Haynes around him.

The depressing thing is that if his wage was half what it actually is, he wouldn't be getting a game in my view. There would appear to be an attitude of 'we're paying him too much to play in the two's' ...

I wrote this a few weeks back and it sums up his Nth Melbourne career:

"Corr looks slow, reactive, very lazy and lacks care with his disposal and just doesn’t have his head in the game to the point of looking disinterested at times."
