1/ wanted to be traded to Saints.
2/ weighing up options, keen to keep playing AFL
3/ Going to Hale's wedding
4/ putting himself in the draft
5/ club treated him well in 2009, said he didnt take his opportunities.
6/ nothing against the club
7/ hoping a club will invite him down to training, currently doing his own training with S. Power.
8/ got options outside of footy if he doesnt get picked up.
9/ inconsistency was his issue the last 12 months.
10/ lots of kids coming through, future is bright at the Roos.
11/ Swallow's improvement may have squeezed him out of the starting 22.

All in all, a pretty good interview, more of a case of him stating his case to any club that may be listening.

Harro on SEN now

Blames himself for the departure, saying he didn't really grasp his opportunity following JYD's departure. He was very thankful Crocks gave him every chance.

He's keeping fit by running regularly with Sammy Powers, and really hoping another club gives him an opportunity.

Says he's ready to go physically. Thinks he has 3 or 4 good years left in him at the level.

He saw the writing on the wall at North with Swallow's elevation throughout the year, saying "He set the example of what to do when you are offered the chance to shine."

He made a strong point to Doran that the future's really exciting at North Melbourne, and he's disappointed he won't be a part of it going forward. He reeled off some of the kids coming up and implored fans to get behind them and Brad Scott.

He has no ill feeling towards the club at all.

ALL CLASS HARRO :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

There's a lesson there for JWS, if I've ever seen/heard one. Onya Harro. I wish you well mate!

A beautiful person, I am so glad I got to say goodbye and wish him well at the B&F- he was so emotional and sad to be leaving.
He has accepted his de-listing with grace whilst still taking the time to compliment the promising, exciting future of the club - what a gentleman:thumbsu:

I wish him all the very best for his future

Well said kl. I had a lump in the throat when Harro was on stage addressing the members. I absolutely love the bloke. A true North man who gave it his all, who was honest in summarising why he's on the outer now.

It is sad that a guy with his attitude is being squeezed out ahead of someone like Smith. Unfortunately, most of our kids have shown good progress over the last 3 years so it is hard to boot many of them out.

What a shining light and example of how to behave. Class, dignity and integrity all rolled into one. Well done Harro, you leave us with some great memories of your in and under hardnut style.

Why do I have a gut feeling that Liam Pickering doesnt manage Harro.........the difference between a decent respectful guy and a peanut....

you would have thought that Pickering could have picked his words better so that JWS leaving wouldnt turn into a hatefest......

well done Harro......lets hope someone picks him up.......

Thats what you call class....
Really hope someone picks him up

What an absolute champion person.
I would love to see him go around for another 3-4 years.
Hope for the absolute best for him - it's nothing short of what he deserves.

That's is just sensational. Wherever Harro ends up, in 2010 and beyond, he will have my total support and admiration. Heck, I'd even feel obliged to cheer him on if he played for Collingwood.

I think Pickering sugar coated it for us. Don't shoot the messenger.

Harro = a great clubman and servant of NMFC
JWS = immature coodabeen with tickets on himself

I remember his debut against the bombers in rd 1 of the year he started. Always loved this bloke. What a quality individual. I sincerely hope he gets grabbed by someone with a late pick

We'll miss you Harro. :thumbsu:

Harris is managed by pickering

Gee, with the weak draft and JWS walking out, would it be beyond the realms of possibilty that we could redraft him if one or two others that we were looking at from the draft are gone and we have a spot on the list is there?

I like Pickering and other than the Smith debacle he has been good to the club. I just think his comments and his pandering to Smith's insecurity is not in the best interest of his client, his management group or himself personally.

In the end is has made Smith look like a complete dick after we stood by him the last few years.

It has made Pickering look like a complete dick when he isn't.

It has questioned his credibility as a manager which really shouldn't as he has been great outside of this incident. But seriously, how can they say Geelong is a much better candidate to deal with him when they de-listed Egan, who pretty much had a similar severity leg injury.

He should have gone out with class, saying he could have done more himself and he just needs a fresh start, but looks like a complete ungrateful prick the way he went out and made Pickering look incompetent by deciding on the move on Thursday of trade week where getting some kind of trade in the time left was unrealistic at best.
