Since he's come in I've felt the defence is really balanced now. We can take on talls and shorts, can rebound easily and move through traffic, and our disposal has been great as well. His influence has been a big reason for our success
100% this! Our defence was a worry for a while and we've worked on it all season. Think we've finally nailed our best for the rest of the season with Fox & Ollie down back now.

If you invested in Clarke and Fox stocks a month ago you would be rather wealthy right now.

Been holding Fox stock since 2019, finally paying off 🤩

Right there with you, just had rotten luck of getting injured when he'd seemingly embedded a spot then had to come back through the ranks again and wait for an opportunity.

Rotten luck and also, y'know, getting delisted by the club after being the most improved player that year.

Robbo's column The Tackle, today:

"7. We’ve got to talk about Robbie Fox

Robbie who, you may say? Robbie Fox from the Swans. He came into the senior team at round 15 after a spell in the VFL and coach John Longmire slotted him at his customary half-back position. But he looks different this time round, he looks like he’s a settled player now. He’s 29 and has played 60 games in six years, after being recruited as a 23-year-old, so the Tasmanian hasn’t exactly been a walk-up starter. But this last patch of games has perhaps cemented him in the Swans’ finals team. In the past five weeks, he’s averaging 22 disposals, seven marks, and has gone at 80 per cent by foot. That last stat is the bell ringer. The league average is 67 per cent, and he’s 13 per cent above that. In any game style, particularly a high-kicking disposal plan which the Swans like, precision kicking is gold. And in Fox, the Swans may have found a little nugget."

I don't want to be dramatic but... I would die for Robbie Fox

Can we give him a real contract please? More than deserves it
I think Robbie is conditioned to being bent over sideways by his employers, he does work for the department of education after all!

Jokes aside, he's always brought a real sense of calm and poise to the backline that few others have been able to replicate. Life after Rampe won't be so bad, hopefully Fox is in good nick for the next few years after being so well 'managed' the last six!

He does look to be in terrific nick and is still one of the best athletes in the club so he may be able to go well past 30.
I can't imagine he doesn't get at least another year. The only tricky part is that we need main list positions for the draft so he may need to stay on the rookie list.
I think we can be sure they'll be talking.
