I’d prefer to keep him, but you would think band 1 would result in us having 2 inside 5 or 6 again.
That’s a ridiculous amount of talent on top of the elite talent we’ve already added.
Surely there's enough medium sized forwards going around in any given year to prevent CZ attracting band 1, especially given the new CBA means he would have to attract 900k or something ridiculous.

I know nothing but that cross sounded to me like his manager was just trying to squeeze a little more out of North.

****ing vultures, the lot of them.

The fact that we haven’t had an exodus of players shows what a close knit group we have tho. Any other team wouldn’t have any players left by now had they gone through what ours have.

Well not often I'm right, but I'll probably be wrong here, but I would be rather surprised if he leaves. In my opinion he always acts as though he loves the club and while obviously, like any player (and I hate saying this) he should always weigh up any offers.

Fk off swans u cheating pricks*
*AFL endorsed cheating pricks.

Even if we still had TT and he performed in his contract year, the vultures would be circling.

One day, a Sydney will win the flag and then get a highly rated father son, academy players for picks in the 40s, FAs for nothing and use future picks to trade for other players. Then sprinkle some magic beans on their salary cap that they have said to have been backloading (for the last 10 years).

And the rest of the comp will still be bitching that we got band 1 compo for McKay, or that they were right to block North from getting recent brownlow medalist Sanders via academy (even thought Ashcroft and Daicos also have one and Blakey and Coleman have a Norm Smith).

Sydney have a war chest. If it’s first round compo again I’d consider letting him go

Don’t get me wrong, I love the draft, but we can’t afford loose solid players in that 25-30 age group range. We desperately need them around to help build the youngsters up. We’ve hit the draft enough now we just need to nail the first rounders we have and the list build will be sweet.

I’m not particularly worried about Zurhaar though. I’d say he is backing himself in to have a big first half of the year so that he has more bargaining power. I’m also tipping he just wants us to be more competitive too, which is fair enough.

How about if he started showing good form, it may actually have a direct correlation with the team showing good form?

Does he realise the two go hand in hand?

His form up until the * game was excellent last year, right from the start. He had one poor game in those 12 matches (9 touches and 0 goals) and kicked 18 goals. In the other 11 games if he didn't score a goal he had 20+ touches and averaged 2 GAs, if he only scored one goal he had 15 touches and scored multiple goals in the other games.

We only won the first two of those games.

And I still reckon the common consensus would be that he could get to another level and impact games more consistently…
