Bugger that, Give Blaine a start, he looks more than capable. Bring Holman in and give him the green vest, swap them in the third quarter. Gotta get Graham into the team, can't see a problem swapping him and Mclean.
Need to start getting at least 3 games into some of these promising kids before next season, just so they get a feel of AFL footy and the requirements. It's a big thing to get games into them, it makes such a difference.
Nothing to lose, we are already losing, we need to go down the young path because some of our older players aren't playing much better if any better than some of our youngsters would.

That's how I feel. How are there professional players who can't kick?
The sub rule is stupid, but having first gamers as being your sub is pretty dumb in its own right.
Forget that 20 odd minutes is hardly a proper sample size to make an assessment of a player on, putting a new kid on in the 4th quarter when the game's still in the balance can't be a smart idea. Play him from the start, and if he's struggling or whatever sub him out, because expecting him to come on and make an impact is just naive.

And maybe don't start him as a defensive forward on Harry O when he does come on. Ridiculous.

The whole 'sub has to make an impact' thinking is what's naive...
The sub should always be the 22nd best player (factoring variables like fitness in). Anything else is just a stupid move.

He killed us when he came on as sub in R1. Subs can be impact players but they need to be the right impact players.
