So if you have something which will make him look very very bad, then you can blackmail him into doing something bad or very bad.

If you go too far, though, and he's President, he might do something ridiculous like launch an attack or implement tariffs.

It still boggles my mind that we have had to enact laws banning the promotion of Nazi symbols and the sieg heil because previously, no one was brain dead enough to believe the ideology had any credibility whatsoever outside a couple of skinhead losers. And yet here we are.

Didn't exactly answer the question I asked.

As others have said, of course he's not going to just start rounding people up into camps or gassing them. There are clear parallels though regarding some of the actions being attempted or talked about in regards to how his government might be set up to reduce democratic processes and norms, thats just fact. Check the number of election denying loyalists still involved in key roles in the 2024 election in various states.

Whether you're pushing a strawman to avoid this angle or are just incapable of nuance I'm not sure.
