I've been to 14 states plus DC. Nowhere was bad, but Vegas was meh and tacky. Yellowstone is fantastic, I've bussed/stayed through places in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina. You meet people with similar and different views, but enjoyed each place.

If you stick to NYC, you're missing out.

Cookers will be everywhere. Trump is a New York guy

trump now lives in florida. they hate him in n.y - exquisite taste, those new yorkers

been to 3 of those places - never again. seattle and new orleans, i can cope with.

The purpose of creating an atmosphere so hostile to discourse, is to bury things you don't like.
Precisely.
Now have a look around this thread (as an immediate example) and have a good long think about it.
If people concerned with fringe groups, prejudice, entrenched disadvantage, systemic bias, feel they are unable to talk about those things, because it's counter productive in the environment Maga has created, then Maga has won.
I don't see very many people feeling "uncomfortable" talking about those things in a public sense at all. Not in America, not here in Australia. It's at the forefront of political and social discourse.

Who do you think is really afraid to speak up, right now?

Why do you think Trump has received so much support?
If Trump, an obviously rather concerning character, has managed to get himself into the White house not once, but twice, then what in the hell do you think that says about his opposition and the levels of concern among the US public regarding what they've been up to? Why do you think that half the country didn't want to vote at all?
What are Americans saying, really? Maybe something along the lines of "yeah, he's a bit of a twat, but you're worse".

It's very difficult to believe you can say something like "the environment Maga has created" with a straight face - assuming you had one when you posted that, of course. You haven't struck me as the kind to post something for a laugh, though.

This has been building for quite a long time.
The most worrying part is that there are signs it might start happening here in Australia, if the left continue along their narcissistic path. It'll take a lot longer, and it won't be as extreme (one hopes) but...

For trans people, it was 21%. They think 21% of Americans are trans, because, the trans people are coming to get you, is screamed in their face, every day.
Well, it might also be due to a saturation of alphabet characters in the media, and representation in politics and social discourse.
I mean hell - if people binge watched "American Horror Story" alone they could be forgiven for thinking the number is closer to 50%.
How many times have you experienced someone screaming in your face that trans people are coming to get you... other than in some of the stuff that gets posted in here - by the left.

If you were to honestly compare the amount of pro-"minority" messaging to the kinds of shit you mentioned above (not to mention actual DEI policies and legislation), I think you'd find that the reality of social manipulation is that it's been happening for a very long time, and the political and social left are far more adept at it... to the point you apparently haven't even noticed.

The number of people, particularly in here, who seem to think Trump and MAGA just came out of nowhere is truly staggering.

it is the only state in that godforsaken country worth visiting. go, you good things.

The USA is not a signatory to the ICC and has no obligation to arrest anyone on the basis of any warrant issued by the ICC.

So what this little vid is actually saying, is that the author thinks most American feel they have a right to take the law into their own hands whenever they feel like it, and would be entirely justified in doing so.

Another word for it might be "vigilante". Here I was thinking they'd manage to almost stamp that crap out...

So, let me know, Not Important. Do you feel vigilantism is justified?

He actually won 45% of the vote in NY, up by almost 100k than in 2020. This election was an unmitigated disaster for the Democrats.

If people are still Trump fans, after knowing everything we know about him, on an Australian football forum, they're beyond convincing.

I saw a bloke driving around Melbourne with at least two Trump bumper stickers the other day. Like, does he realise he can't vote for him?
I'm surprised you noticed, with all the Palestinian and Ukrainian flags and wotnot flying around.
Expressing a political opinion regarding the goings-on in foreign lands is not uncommon in Australia.

Maybe the bloke you saw is an American. Like, seriously. Like, you know. There's quite a few of them over here, you know.

Still blaming the voters?
Yeah I am. They voted for a shameless liar and a self-declared cheat.

Eff 'em and my only concern is for the millions of good, decent, kind Americans as their great country gets completely sent to hell in a handbasket by these dickheads who somehow think it's so exhilarating voting for a liar and a cheat.

At the end of the day, everything comes down to character, and Trump's is essentially poor.

And they've voted him in.

"vigilantism" lol

the u.s picks and chooses when it comes to the icc. i'm willing to bet they'd arrest the hamas leader if he set foot in the joint.

"The George W. Bush administration supported the ICC's 2002 investigations into allegations of atrocities committed in the Darfur region of Sudan. The Obama administration supported the ICC's case in Libya in 2011, which accused the government of Moammar Gadhafi of war crimes and crimes against humanity."

while the israel occupation enablers don't recognise " the ICC’s jurisdiction on its soil, it is not clear whether its municipalities have the authority to arrest Netanyahu"

my guess is the convicted war criminal won't be going near any countries or states that say they'll arrest him. and i find it interesting you appear to support the man who is responsible for the genocide and has spent years using abusing the legal system to subvert his corruption allegations. says so much. his wife has already been found guilty of corruption btw

I'm curious as to what you mean by 'the left continuing on its narcissistic path'.

I have massive problems with left wing parties not advocating for left wing economic policies, but I don't view that as a narcissistic thing; merely, avoiding biting the hand that feeds.

What are your issues with the left at present?

Yep- the duffers are culpable.

They think the left is obsessed with identity politics while also raising the issue of gender politics, trying topolice bathrooms, pronouns, clothing choices etc incessantly.
