Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed.

Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

As always, please submit ideas for the thread title by tagging Gethelred! We're looking for something new to match the new thread!

I think this story has a long way to play out yet, and as such, will land squarely in Stinker’s lap as he takes office.

Will be very interesting to see how he handles the ramifications. Might prove a bit too multi-headed for Donny.

Which ceos would make the cards

It's choose your own adventure.

You get to pick what parts of what he says you hear, then you get to pick which part he means, and which are 'just jokes'.
Are you talking about Trump supporters and his guff, or Religious people and their incoherent texts?

Same, same.

But much sooner than later, it will become clear to these millions of working class families that Trump has no answer for their problems any more than the Democrats.

And that social anger will then take on Trump.
I remain doubtful that it will (to the majority of his base anyway).

Its a cult at this point, just posted in another thread waiting for him to trumpet 'his' amazing economy numbers that are actually exactly the same as Biden's, and his supporters will just eat it up.

Which brings us back to the point I keep making - we as a society afford way too much leeway for people in the name of Belief.

Be it religious or political.

It's time we started reclaiming pre-eminence for Fact and Truth.

Don't like our chances though. Almost like the human race shares more DNA with lemmings than previously realised.

How anyone takes this imbecile seriously is anyone’s guess. Then again you’d have to have extreme brainpower to understand any of this.
This is why they kept him out of debates and avoided any serious , probing interviews.
In the words of Rex Tillerson "Trump is a ****ing moron"
No wonder he only has concepts , he's incapable of understanding , analysing and applying logic to virtually anything.

Still , having said that, the majority still had faith in him so who are we to judge?
Let's see how another 4 years of PT Barnum in charge works out for the good old USA.......

even so, those who bothered to listen knew they were endorsing rape, fraud, and a congenital liar but still voted for him in sufficient numbers. billionaires i get cos they are his peeps and stand to benefit from his presidency. but the ordinary punter does not and will pay the price.

3rd grade humour from someone who is supposed to be a leader. He’s nothing but a juvenile hateful ignoramus who loves to denigrate anyone he sees fit to. Can’t wait til 2028 to see how many of his “mates” are getting the same treatment
The ****ing Glass-Jaw on this campaigner....

Here is some information which totally fits in with the title of this thread Trump: If you want Capitalism, you got it
"The wealth of Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, SpaceX and social media platform X (Twitter), is rapidly approaching half a trillion dollars, according to the latest estimate from Forbes magazine.

Musk’s net worth is now nearly $200 billion higher than the next wealthiest individual, Jeff Bezos (Amazon, $248 billion), who is followed by Mark Zuckerberg (Meta, $223 billion) and Larry Ellison (Oracle, $195 billion). Collectively, the world’s 10 richest individuals—nine Americans plus France’s Bernard Arnault—have increased their wealth by $305 billion in just five weeks, bringing their combined total to a staggering $2.1 trillion.

The total wealth owned by these 10 individuals is more than the GDP of all but seven countries. It is more than 40 times the estimated annual cost to end world hunger, and more than 100 times the estimated annual cost to end homelessness in the United States.

Musk embodies the fusion of oligarchy and the state in the incoming administration. He personally contributed an estimated $277 million toward Trump’s election, while using his control over X to influence the election outcome. He is now playing a dominant role in determining the policies and composition of the Trump administration. Musk has been appointed to co-lead the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), alongside fellow billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy. The department’s stated goal is to slash $2 trillion in federal spending, a figure that, notably, is approximately equal to the combined wealth of the world’s top 10 billionaires."

Trump's administration represents the ultimate expression of imperialism: the fusion of the capitalist state with the dictates of finance capital.
